Amazing is all I can say. Let’s start with the decor. Very clean and very ocean theme like….very very similar to ocean front eatery in any Italian costal city/town. The eggplant starter was very good. Real tomato sauce and sweet eggplant. Now for the pizza. It really took me back to Napoli. Very thin pizza with chewy crust. Very very good!! Super affordable too. My pizza and pizza came out to just under $11US!!! Great place a must visit in Havana.

Quality of the pizzas was amazing, I knocked 1 star off for the lack of ingredients meaning a third of the pizza menu was not available (but I know, Cuba). Service was good, I knocked 1 star off as they didn’t tell us what was not available before we started to order. We sat outside and watched the sunset on the malecon. USD40 for 2 pizzas, 3 beers and a water.

This was the first restaurant that served us pizzas with real dough, flavourful tomato sauce and proper toppings.
It was so nice, we went back twice.
The first time around we got somewhat burned pizza crusts, second time was better. Still, really good pizzas.
The food here was on the pricier side compared with many other restaurants in Havana, but the food was well worth it.
Service was great and waiters very friendly. The only downside is that it’s next to the busy Malecon Road, so it’s loud and a lot of fumes from the cars.

A mixing of Cuban-Italian cuisine, with prices a bit over rated compared to what they offer. However the best they have they don’t charge you for it: a spectacular view of Havana Malecon, specially at sunset worth trying it with nice company and a good glass of wine.

I happened upon this restaurant by accident only a couple of weeks after they had opened. I ordered the seafood pizza and fried calamari. The food was fantastic! I was really amazed to find food that was substantially superior to my other restaurant experiences in Cuba. I met chef Salvatore that night and we chatted a little. He is clearly a professional and has a passion for cooking. A few weeks later I came back to Havana after travelling to a few other cities with only one thing in mind: to try chef Salvatore’s food again. I was very happy to see that there was a huge line up at the door and all the tables were occupied. Clearly the word of mouth had spread in just a couple of weeks. I tried a few more dishes and to me this is the best food, by far, I had in Cuba.

I went two times during my stay in Havana to this Italian restaurant for its delicious food and authentic atmosphere. As an Austrian who has been hundreds of times to Italy and knows how a real pizza should taste, I can confirm that the pizza at Marechiaro is authentically Italian. From the fluffy dough to the original tomato sauce and the fresh ingredients, perfetto! Paired with the fantastic cocktails (I recommend their Caipirinha), this has made my day. The service is excellent, very friendly and kind. Can highly recommend and will gladly come again. 🙂

Geat Italian restaurant with a nice range of options for pasta and pizza. Veggie and meat options, this spot has something for everyone. Very friendly and prompt service with an amazing view of Malecon, worth sitting outside to watch the sunset. On the expensive side comparative to the area, but worth the price for the value.

A bit touristy and upscale : prices are 2x higher than other places we went
Food was good but not outstanding
My calzone Pizza was very good 8/10
My partner’s raviolis was great but a tiny portion
USD to CUP was ok but they would give our money Back in CUP so we agreed to pay with my credit card and it was a bit awkward because that option wasn’t available at first
Overall not bad but not great
