Fantastic local diner. I ordered the special, jalapeños, bacon, omelette. I’ll come back every time I’m in Portland. Great vibes and community feel.

Not only was the breakfast so wildly good that I audibly whined the entire meal anticipating it being gone, but more importantly, a couple came in who is perhaps without permanent housing, and had some coffee and something to eat. After they cashed out, the staff quietly gave them boxes of extra food, even some dish that one of the employees had brought from home. The humanity and tenderness they delivered it with was so beautiful and I’m so glad to have been there to witness it. This is the stuff. Kindness rules. I’m a customer for life.

I loved Marcy’s Diner! This is a legit old-school style diner. Small inside (you most likely will have to wait for a table). Great menu with some unique choices like holy donut french toast made with Portland’s signature holy donut shop’s donuts. I went with the chili cheese omlette and it was excellent! Service is fast and efficient (diner style). Just overall a great place to stop and have breakfast.

Our breakfast here was good. Tried the grilled blueberry muffin— the crispy grilled portions were delicious. Coffee was tasty. Would definitely stop again!

Adorable small and timeless diner. Expect classic diner offerings, friendly and engaging staff, and an intimate (small) space. There’s tons of butter in everything so of course everything tastes phenomenal. The classics are epic combos and a ton of food – well worth the price. Although food service was slow (30+ minutes for 2 meals), the staff were very nice and brought us free cinnamon buns until food arrived. Come early to beat the line!

A fantastic traditional diner with outstanding hospitality and service that is not to be missed. The menu offers breakfast staples of eggs, bacon, and hash browns plus pancakes and creative French toast, and the chalkboard lists daily specials that offer choices beyond the staples. The “silver dollar” pancakes are super generous in size, the “regular” pancakes are the size of a plate! They have bar seating and several booths, so there may be a wait when it’s busy, but service is extremely fast and friendly, so it’s worth the wait.

I’ve started my day on the right foot with Marcy’s so many times over the last decade. It’s a Portland staple has a superior dollar:quality of food ratio over anyone else in town.
The variety of pancakes are delicious, the hash browns always banging, and the grilled muffins are a real treat.
Also, Marcy’s does Marcy’s. If you come in with a screaming kid, they may ask you to be quiet or leave, and well, that’s part of what we love about them. ❤️
