In the past, you would feel so welcome and be greeted with real respect. The new crew of employees never made Marco’s Pizza feel the same as it used to. The only original people I still see there are 3 of the original managers and a few drivers. There were some employees you just knew would be hard to replace because of how wonderful they were. When I go to other restaurants with younger employees, a lot of the time there’s no respect or manners. So when I started seeing younger employees treat me with genuine respect, I realized my opinions about them were wrong. There was a young Hispanic lady who worked there, she had such a kind soul and was always so nice to me. Then there was a young light-skinned man who worked both inside and as a driver. And especially that young brown short man with curly hair, when I tell you he was one of the most respectful young men I’ve ever met, I truly mean it. He helped me with even the smallest things I asked about and never had a problem doing so. Ever since I heard they got laid off, the place has never tasted or felt the same.

The staff are great but the ingredients (cheese, dough and sauce) they have to work with are low quality. The regular and garden pizza lacked any flavor whatsoever and I asked for well done and it came out undercooked. The “grilled” chicken in my salad was still partially frozen and also lacked seasoning. For the price they charge, I would recommend one of the better pizza shops in downtown Clermont. Really disappointed in their pizza here.

Chris is most amazing. I was diagnosed with Leukemia last year. I always get a salad from here. It’s a special way I ask for it to be prepared. He always remembers me and knows exactly how to prepare this salad for me. He treats me with such compassion. He is always concerned about me. He makes me feel more like family than just a customer. He always ask about my well-being. He goes above and beyond. Excellent customer service and operates in a spirit of excellence.

We chose to with dine with Marcos Pizza this evening. We made a mistake in our carry-out order and didn’t realize it until we were home and opening the box. When we called the store, Chris R. went above and beyond in figuring out how we could fix our mistake. In a world where customer service is a dying industry, and especially when the customer is at fault, not the company, it is rare to find employees who prioritize their guests’ wants and needs the way Chris R. did. When I saw that Marco’s was opening, I was excited for something other than Dominos and Pizza Hut in Groveland. I’m glad to say that this place has not disappointed me.
Since opening, we have ordered from here multiple times a month. It is always hot, fresh and tasty. The pizza crust is chewy and their toppings are plentiful. I was skeptical of their sandwiches, but I have to admit I prefer them to Publix subs now – seriously, get yourself a meatball and pepperoni sub, you won’t regret it.

I had my wife order some Buffalo Wings from Marcos. I get the order and it is like a box of kids nuggets. There is no flavoring. Just some breaded chicken chunks. I looked on their website and they have pictures of wings but only sell what they call “chicken dippers”. Why do they not sale wings when they have pictures on their website wings. It would not have been as bad if they had a flavor other than flour.
