I can only say, I used to love Marcos. I moved away and was so excited to have it when I went into town. It actually makes me sad to make a negative review, but I’m so embarrassed to have bragged about the portions and how delicious it was to receive less than a $4 tv dinner portion of pasta. I attached a picture for reference.
For $70 dollars for three of these and a two bite side salad and 2 soups, I am very disappointed. The side Caesar salad was two bites, with sauce added so it was soggy upon arrival home so I recommend putting the dressing on the side in a ramekin possibly.

The pasta was dry, then watery upon heating up rather than saucy and hardly larger than a dollar bill size as I did compare it.

The tomato basil soup was well portioned for the bowl and just as good as I remember though!

I do not know if this is just a to-go ordering issue, so I will definitely try to dine in again sometime I am back in town because I remember loving Marcos pasta bar!

The employees were super kind as always! So really, it’s just a portion and quality issue for to -go. Not worth the cost.

If you want Italian food in the greater Corpus Christi area come here. First visit had the special Chicken ala Marco. Wow prefect. Also had the tomato basil soup and couldn’t resist the chocolate cake and expresso.
I will definitely be back and it will probably next week
Update. Went again 10/24/25 as always absolutely delicious with friendly excellent service.

The tomato basil soup was so dang good. I’m going to get a large next time. We enjoyed the food here. It’s real easy to miss because of the location, but nonetheless, great food and wonderful staff. We ordered bread & butter to go also and it did not disappoint. We reccomend & plan to go again for dinner sometime when we don’t have our dog.

Absolutely love this place! The pasta was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. What made the experience even better was the amazing staff—everyone was so kind and welcoming. They took such great care of us and made sure we had everything we needed the whole time. You can really tell they care about their customers.

The brick building may not look like much but it has a wonderful secret. A pasta bar! Why doesn’t every Italian restaurant give me the option to build my own plate by choosing a pasta type, sauce and toppings.

I also highly recommend the generous size and portion of ravioli.

Finally, the staff are genuinely friendly. They make you feel right at home.

A great place to eat pasta! The service was fantastic, friendly and helpful for someone that is new to their restaurant. Noticed many prestigious customers, like District Judges and others. Followed the recommendation of trying their tomato soup. It was fantastic! A must try.

I really wanted to enjoy my visit here, but unfortunately, the experience missed the mark for a second time. The main dishes were overly salty to the point where it overwhelmed the flavors. Even more disappointing was the dessert. We were told it was tiramisu, but what was served was clearly not — it resembled more of a cheesecake with a berry topping (photo attached).

It’s okay for restaurants to offer a twist on classics, but it should be labeled honestly to avoid misleading customers. The service was decent, but overall, the meal didn’t live up to expectations.

We were a party of four in for a long visit and lots of catching up. We were well accommodated in our leisurely pace. The pasta bar features a wide selection of menue items prepared in the corner of the dining room as you like with the kitchen support behind it with a pass through window. Everyone was pleased with their selections.

A paved parking lot and street parking accommodated an almost full dinning room.

Lunch break hot spot. Limited menu. Short and sweet but some for all pasta lovers. Super friendly staff. Quick turnaround after ordering. Pasta chef cooks to order front and center. Good food.
