Finally got a chance to try out Marco’s. I’ve been in the area for way too long for that miss. Well, they did an exceptional job of showing what I’ve been missing out for so long. Just a cute, warm, well executed Italian restaurant. We made reservations, were seated promptly, and enjoyed quality Italian. I can’t wait to make up for lost time and try more of the menu. This time I went for ravioli and it had NOTHING in common with what my mom would heat up for me. And that is a wonderful thing. We closed things out with a massive chunk of tiramisu. Highly recommend that item.

The food here was simply outstanding. We ordered the Spaghetti Primavera (shrimp, mushrooms, broccoli, marinara, roasted garlic), a cup of lentil bacon soup, Chicken Piccata, and a cup of tomato basil soup, everything was fresh, well balanced, and clearly made with quality ingredients.
The service truly stood out. Nolan provided excellent service: extremely professional, polite, and attentive without being intrusive. From the moment you walk in, every staff member is respectful and genuinely service oriented.
The ambiance is cozy and inviting perfect for couples or a small family gathering. The chef, who is also the owner, was very welcoming, which adds a personal and authentic touch to the experience. Even the bread deserves a mention delicious and fresh but again, what really elevates this place is the top notch service paired with consistently high quality food.
Because of all this, Marco’s earns my strongest recommendation. Visit without hesitation.

We went to Marco’s last night in Wimberley hoping to try authentic Italian pasta. We ordered the spaghetti with meatballs and the lasagna.
To start, we were served small pull-apart bread knots with garlic oil on the side. They arrived warm and ready to eat, but after a few minutes they became hard, so we weren’t able to enjoy them fully.
When our pasta dishes arrived, my spaghetti with meatballs was very disappointing. The spaghetti noodles were cut into small pieces and completely drowned in red sauce, with three meatballs placed on top. I had to use a spoon not a fok to eat some. I tried to serve myself some pasta onto a small plate, but it was difficult to even find the noodles. Even our waitress agreed and said she would make the cooks aware of the issue.
The lasagna looked good at first, but beneath the top layer of cheese there was mostly meat sauce, and the pasta itself was difficult to enjoy.
The atmosphere and service were both good, but unfortunately, I would not recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for an authentic Italian dining experience.

Would definitely recommend this restaurant! Romantic cozy atmosphere and all of their food was delicious! Whitney helped us to our table. She remembered my name from when I called earlier that day. All of the staff was friendly. Lauren was our waitress, very kind and did a great job at serving us. We had 1/2 three cheese and 1/2 margarita pizza to start. My husband got the chicken parm and made it spicy. He really enjoyed it and we both thought the chicken was huge! Big portion, he ate every bit. I got the butternut squash ravioli which was great! I got the tomato basil soup and he got the chicken soup. We ended it off with their chocolate cake for two, was very moist & fudgey. If we visit wimberly again, we will definitely be back to Marco’s!

We went here for a birthday dinner with my family. I had been to Wimberley a few times, but had never been to this place. It was a cute little bungalow that was made into a restaurant. We were immediately seated, They brought out these pull apart garlic knots that were to die for. We opted for Meat Balls and Spinach Artichoke dip. I had ordered Meat Balls from an Italian place before and had them delivered to my house. I never really cared for Italian Meat Balls. These Meat Balls were on point. They were perfectly seasoned. The Spinach Artichoke dip was creamy and not too over the top. I knew I did not want to over do it with my dinner, so I opted for a Calzone. We ordered Chicken Parm and Chicken Alfredo. All dishes were some of the best Italian dishes we have had in a long while.
Why I have not been to this place before? When I saw the reviews, it made me wonder why people would rate this place lower than a 4. This place is amazing! This place should have much higher rating. The food, service and atmosphere were top notch. As we left, I did see quite a few folks eating outside. The weather was good and I am sure it would have been nice to sit outside and eat.
If you want a fantastic mom and pop Italian place that is quant with great food and great service, you will not go wrong with this place.

We had a wonderful late lunch before the wedding we were attending. The bread is delicious! The carbonara was a traditional recipe. I haven’t been able to get that traditional carbonara since my visits to Italy. Service was great and everyone was very sweet.

I cannot rave enough how wonderful and delicious Marco’s was and the host Whitney was personable and exuded genuine welcoming warmth. The fresh homemade garlic knots were the best I’ve ever had. The atmosphere was perfect. The server was friendly and attentive. My food was delicious topped off with an amazing dessert. There was four of us and we were all happy with our food which is a rarity. I will definitely be back. “”Whitney” I am the one that left her keys and was upset about my teenage boy. Good basic Italian cuisine. Seaged immediately. There were two of us and we got a two top table. Placed directly under vent, however so it was quite cold. We don’t normally complain but asked for better seating. We asked for outdoor seating and promptly got a new seat. I ordered the lasagna and my boyfriend ordered the spaghetti. His was amazing but small portions. I had a large portioned lasagna that had fairly basic taste profiles. Service is a 10/10. Out waktress was so kind and lovely. I enjoyed her laid back and fun demeanor. No complaints about the place, except the tables are a bit cramped inside and it was quite loud and cold inside… But we thoroughly enjoyed our evening on the patio under the moon. I would eat here again and try something besides the lasagna.

Marco’s is a great Italian restaurant In Wimberley!! The food and wine were excellent and the staff very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was very low key but very nice. We will definitely dine there again when we’re in the area. Go there!!
