I was visiting Dubuque from out of town and looking for some quality Italian food, I visited Marco’s, as some locals recommended it. I really wanted to like this place, I love supporting local restaurants. I ordered the Veal Parma, and, frankly, it wasn’t great. The spaghetti was as plain as it gets, the veal itself was merely covered in tomato sauce and some cheese, hardly any seasoning or flavor outside of that. The garlic bread appeared to be simply buttered toast with dashes of garlic seasoning on it. I ordered a cannoli to try to salvage the meal, and I could tell it wasn’t remotely fresh, as even the filling on the inside had hardened. The service was friendly and warm, although it took a while to get sat. Overall, unfortunately, I just wouldn’t go back.

Look the pizza is good. However I asked for a traditional slice on the pizza 8 triangles, I got a ton of tiny 2 wide slices! And on top of that they made both pizzas too big for the box and proceeded to cut the crust off to fit it ‍♀️ Maybe I’m just too far from home, New York does it right.

As a Chicago born Sicilian and life long foodie this place is average at best.

Pasta overcooked. Sausage was a good size portion and pretty good. Meat sauce was also good, average good..not wow! Crazy good.

We were recommended here by a couple locals.

Staff seemed nice, decor early 1970’s dark everything..needs an update.

Would I return, sadly hard no.

Pizza was very burnt. The cheese was so burnt it was not cheesy at all. If I had been eating in I would have sent it back. I have had some good pizza there but it will be on slow nights from now on.

Amazing family owned, one of a kind homemade Italian Restaurant. It is located in a really cool area of downtown Dubuque, Iowa which has transformed itself nicely from a rough and tumble river town into a solid destination town with quality culture and culinary. The food was amazing, the help friendly and educated and real not rehearsed. A MUST stop.

Fantastic thin crust pizza. The staff is super friendly and the place is quaint and rustic. You cannot go wrong choosing this place.

We had a great carryout order! The meatball sandwiches were delicious, but a little small. The fried chicken was outstanding and the cannoli and tiramisu was delish! We cant wait to go back for the pizza!

Great food, decent service, and an extremely loud refrigerator in the dining area that needs to be repaired so people can hear themselves think (let alone chat).

Amazing food but the waitress with glasses has a huge attitude problem she mistreated us and then proceeded to raise her voice on customers at the bar then run off definitely will be asking for someone else next time
