Visited Marco Paolo Pizza in New Haven and really enjoyed it! The pizza was fresh, delicious, and perfectly balanced , great crust, great cheese, great flavor. The service was quick, the staff were friendly, and the place has a warm, easy vibe. Definitely a solid spot for a good slice, and I’ll be coming back again for sure!

My first time traveling to Connecticut from Harlem / New York City & this was the freshest pizza I’ve ever had! The staff was very welcoming and friendly, the restaurant/shop itself was organized & clean, my wait time was no more than 20-25 minutes, their bathroom is clean as well with a beautiful perfumed aroma & the neighborhood area it’s located in is so calm & peaceful. I had one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had in any business. The environment felt straight-up hostile, and the way I was treated made it clear they have a serious problem with Black customers. I wasn’t even allowed to grab my own soda because of the color of my skin. Staff acted like basic respect was optional and made the whole place feel like some outdated, backroom racist hangout. I also don’t understand how it’s an Italian restaurant own by middle eastern men who can’t cook a pizza with out pools of grease.
If you’re a person of color or just someone who believes in basic human decency, avoid this place. No one should have to deal with that kind of disrespect in 2025.

Had a great meal at Marco Polo Pizzeria in New Haven! The gluten-free pizza was honestly one of the best I’ve had crispy, flavorful, and really satisfying. Also tried a gluten-free wrap and it was just as tasty. Super friendly staff and cozy vibe. I’ll definitely be back!

It is what a late night pizza joint should be. No deception. Reasonable prices and good portions. They don’t incinerate the bottom of their pizzas like other New Haven pizza places. 10/10

Ordered chicken pasta meal asked for extra sauce, not only did I not get the extra, didn’t get the appropriate sauce it should of received either. It was watered down and very, very, tasteless and I offered my coworker some and she felt the same way.
