March Hare is such a hidden gem. It’s a small, hole-in-the-wall spot with a relaxed, darker vibe that makes it feel cozy and intimate. The open kitchen is spotless and you can tell the staff are true professionals.
The food is honestly to die for — everything was packed with flavor and clearly made with care. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to.

This restaurant changed my opinion on Sarnia ! I had no idea it existed and was I so happy I did !
Lovely decor. Food outstanding. Great service.
Ordered for lunch:
Warmed olives and focaccia
Burger and fries.
Lobster roll
Smoked salmon on bagel.
All incredible.
Was my mother’s birthday and they served her the most delicious homemade ice cream on a birthday cake crumble.
Highly recommend!

Yummy, yum, yum! Make like a bunny and hop on over for an extra tasty meal. I had the burger, the world’s greatest French fries, and a wedge salad. Very excellent service from a hot blue eyed waitress comes free with every meal. Comfortable seating too, so relax!

Mom and I had a beautiful late lunch and had the restaurant to Ourselves. She had the lobster roll with fries and aïoli, and I had the steak tartar, 3 ounce serving and a smoked trout salad both of which were incredible. Micro greens pickled onions, beautiful dressing, fantastic focaccia for the tartare, and the meat was perfect however, a little heavy handed on the salt that would be my only drawback, but even that was easily cured with a slice of lemon. Service was kind and ambiance was perfect. We had a nice visit to the gallery across the way after . all in all a perfect afternoon thank you.

Great atmosphere. Food was fantastic , but a little too salty. Great service. Don’t rely on other posts for menu prices as lunch menu has increased 40% from a year ago

You have no idea how good this is. While a limited menu, it’s prepared by love and grace. No pressure just food enjoyment. Best steak in Sarnia. The carrot cheesecake with a shot of Frangelico nailed it.

Stumbled upon this place while searching Google Maps for a place to have dinner on a Friday night with my husband. We walked in (didn’t have reservations) and it was busy, but fortunately they had a table for 2 available. The food was great. The ambience unmatched in Sarnia, imo. As former GTAers, this place gave trendy downtown TO vibes, without the TO traffic/chaos. We also got a chance to talk to one of the owners, who was beyond sweet. We’re so glad we stumbled upon March Hare and tried it out!

Had heard good things about this establishment in downtown Sarnia, just had to try it! Greeted by a smiling face and our table was right next to the open kitchen, so cool! It was a clean sweep of burgers for 3 on this culinary experience, and wow, they were delicious! Loved dipping the skinny fries in the Aeoli sauce. Red wine, a near local cider consumed and thoroughly enjoyed! Watching the chef plate the dishes was like a glimpse into foodie heaven! The atmosphere, the decor, even the glasses and utensils were fun! This gets an Excellent on our visit! Highly, highly recommend!

A Hidden Gem for Brunch Lovers!
March Hare in downtown Sarnia absolutely blew me away with its incredible brunch! From the moment we walked in, the cozy, eclectic atmosphere set the tone for a memorable dining experience. The staff was warm and attentive without being overbearing — you can tell they care about what they do.
Now let’s talk about the food: phenomenal. The brunch menu is creative without being pretentious, and everything we tried was cooked to perfection. We had the eggs Benedict, and it was hands-down the best I’ve had anywhere — silky hollandaise, perfectly poached eggs.
This place is a must-visit if you’re in Sarnia — especially for brunch. We’ll definitely be back soon!

The sticky toffee pudding is to die for! I love coming in to try new menus and seasonal items and to watch the hustle in the open kitchen.
