Our restaurant is an authentic representation of Sicilian comfort food. Our wine concept is giving guests the choice to browse our racks and make their selection from our value priced wines. Our wine pricing is slightly above wine boutique prices, but far below traditional restaurant wine list mark-ups. COMING HOME… Executive Chef/Owner Blakley Kymen grew up in Mandeville, Louisiana and is thrilled to have been able to bring the Marcello brand to the Northshore.

We had a wonderful dining experience here with our family. From start to finish, everything was excellent. The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care.
Our server, Sydney, truly made the night special. She was amazing: humorous, warm, and refreshingly honest with her recommendations, which we really appreciated. She went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and was more than willing to make adjustments without hesitation, making us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for.
Great food, outstanding service, and a comfortable atmosphere. We would definitely dine here again and highly recommend asking for Sydney if you visit!

The food was delicious. Our group of 6 sampled lots of items and everything was delicious and got two thumbs up from everyone. The atmosphere is cozy and familial. The wine options are vast but not listed and not very organized. Requiring you to walk the racks and take time away from the table and impact the atmosphere of the evening. Please make a wine list. The service need more support role. Back wait, bus, or something. The server left us for long stretches of time with empty glasses and limited interactions. Their knowledge of the menu was basic and their knowledge of the wine and spirits was when less than that. There was effort and a warm attitude so nothing terrible. They just need the proper amount of wait staff to create something closer to fine dining and they need to take more time to educate the staff. We will be back.

Great food! Very attentive service from the servers. I love that they had a mocktail section on their drink menu.. only negative thing i will say, the hostess kind of rudely and very loudly told my significant other to remove his hat at the table. She could have been a little more discrete about the situation.

Tiramisu was perfect light and yummy/not too strong in sugar or coffee.

My husband and I had a rare date night and we do not venture out to different restaurants much. I am a big fan of lasagna and decided to try an Italian restaurant we haven’t been to yet. Marcello’s did not disappoint. The lasagna was amazing! My husband ordered the chicken Parmesan, again, it was amazing! Zero leftovers came home with us. The red sauce for each plate had the best taste and there is no such thing as too much cheese! Our server was a young lady, unfortunately I cannot remember her name, but she has long brown hair and this is only her 2nd week. She did phenomenal! She was extremely personable and made us laugh. (We had a conversation about how we both love the corner pieces of brownies.) I hope we have her again when we come back because we will be back!

Seth is one of the best servers I have ever had. Seriously. He was attentive, friendly, made suggestions when I asked, and brought me several wine tastings. Couldn’t ask for better. The food was utterly amazing!

We were greeted nonchalantly by a young man with a rag in his back pocket. He ushered us to our table and left. He did not seat me. A young man of few words. Our waitress was very soft spoken and robotic. We asked the runner who brought my salad to take a picture of us because it was my birthday and she said, “well I guess I have a moment.” There were only 2 other tables with patrons. My husband did not eat his lasagna. It looked over done and he said it was too cheesy and very little meat. My chicken molli was acceptable but surely not worth the price. We eat out often and we felt quite awkward there. It is not our idea of fine dining! We do not recommend it so all!

Food was excellent, however our waiter was not. He only came to our table to take our order and to deliver our bill. He never once asked how we were, how our meal was, or if we needed anything. He depended on the other staff to deliver our courses, refill our waters, etc. This was our first time at Marcello’s and I expected better from such a nice restaurant serving such delicious food.

What a hidden gem!! Definitely the best restaurant in Covington and maybe the best Italian in the whole state!! Very small quaint, cozy and welcoming Italian restaurant that you will drive by as we have many times but be wise and stop for dinner. They have a patio we are anxious to try. The service is top notch in that they can’t do enough to make your experience a good one. They may not all be well versed in the Italian menu and culture (like grappa) but they will find out for you!! The wine list was the most interesting! It is like cruising in a wine shop with the prices on the bottles and you just choose your wine. That was so much fun and we found a great bargain on a Premier Grand Cru. The menu has all the Italian favorites, making choices difficult. Know while making your choices that portions are large and it is all authentic and well prepared. We had the side of Saffron Risotto to start and that was perfectly prepared (so hard to find) which paired well with the wine. We had salads, one house and one cesar both very nice. I would not order those again because I needed room for the other food but being married to an Italian he loves to eat in courses, so…. My husband had the Eggplant Parm which was to die for and I had the seafood pasta with a mushroom sherry cream sauce, again perfectly prepared with mounds of shrimp, lobster and seafood. I ended up taking most of it home but it was actally fresh and wonderful the next day!! We of course had disgestives and they did have grappa and espresso much to my husbands delight! We shared tiramisu which we could not finish but then tasting is a thing. It was a culinary experience like you would expect in Italy. You should not miss!! It would be perfect for a cozy Romantic date night or a great place for a dinner with family or friends! Reserve ahead – It is small and likely fills up way ahead.

Wonderful meal. We started out with a wonderful calamari appetizer and bread which was delicious. I had a seafood pasta with crab, lobster and shrimp that was outstanding. My wife had the chicken parmigiana which was wonderful. Great happy hour of half off wine by the glass and half off appetizers until 6:00. I definitely will be back.
