Reviews
-Customer walks in? Roll your eyes so hard they hear it.
-Act deeply offended when someone orders.
-Mandatory “I hate my job” expression at all times
-Appear annoyed when a customer walks in the door and ignore them in the hopes they will turn around and leave.
– “hi! Welcome in!”, “Please” and “thank you” are strictly prohibited and are to be replaced with blank stares and heavy sighs.
I’ve been coming to this MSC since they opened 3 years ago, hoping each visit would be the one where someone behind the counter is friendly or at the least, seem like they don’t absolutely hate their existence. Still waiting. Every time I walk in, I get treated like I just interrupted their family dinner instead of trying to spend 10+ bucks on a single scoop of ice cream.
Now, don’t get me wrong — the ice cream itself is heavenly. But for what they charge, that scoop ought to come with a smile, a “thank you kindly,” and maybe platinum spoon. Instead, I get a look that says, “what the H-e-double hockey sticks do you want?” I’m not exaggerating.
You’d think after three years of being in business, they’d at least remember how to be polite. They have filtered through employees over the years. It doesn’t matter who’s working — the attitude stays the same, like it’s part of the recipe.
If I wanted to feel unwelcome and broke at the same time, I’d just go to the DMV.
My family loves this place, the ice cream itself is great , but we spend about $65 when we all go. After today, I just can’t in good conscience go back. Money is already tight in this economy and there are way too many other products and businesses that treat people better than this place. It’s not just me it’s everyone. I observe people when we are there and each PAYING customer is treated poorly. Except for the employees who like to joke around with each other and make snide remarks when they think the customers are out of earshot.
The most ludicrous thing about this place is perhaps that they have a tip jar and ASK for tipping on card transactions… here is a tip, be nice to people! Especially the ones who are putting the “pay” in your “paycheck”!
Sincerely, a former customer.
