I came to Marathon for lunch on a Saturday. It was not too crowded, and we did not have to wait to be seated. Their food menu has plenty of great options, I ordered the Blackened Chicken Press sandwich, which was wonderful. I also for the Crown Royal Peach Tea off of their summer drink menu, which was great. It was not too sweet and you could taste the flavors of the tea and peach blending well, the alcohol taste was not overwhelming but I could definitely tell it was there as I drank it. Our server was friendly and attentive, overall this was a great experience!

I stopped in here again, as a regular. I was with my dog and wanted to eat outside in the first beautiful afternoon of spring. Because I was alone, they would not seat me in the nice outdoor area and wanted to shunt off to the side. There were two empty four tops. What gives? If you are alone, God forbid that you might get a good table. Never again. The good is too mediocre for these prices anyway. Avoid

I dined here for an early dinner with two girlfriends. We arrived around 5:00 pm, and at that time there were only two other tables occupied. Our server, Julie, was pleasant and attentive. The food was fine—nothing exceptional, but acceptable.

What truly soured the experience happened around 6:30 pm. A woman approached our table and asked us to hurry up because people were waiting for the table. We were completely taken aback. In all my years of dining out, I have never been treated that way. It felt dismissive and disrespectful.

We later learned that the woman was Debbie, whom I assume is a manager. All three of us work in the hospitality industry in the neighborhood, and I can confidently say that her behavior was inappropriate. We had been seated just over an hour and had spent approximately $50 per person—we were not lingering over a single cup of coffee.

Based on this experience alone, and out of self-respect, I will not be returning nor recommending this restaurant. It’s disappointing to see such a lack of hospitality and care for paying customers.

Gave 4 stars for Service because of Julie. If not it would have been 1 star.

We walked by and did a double take, on our way to a Curtis Recital. The restaurant patrons were smiling so we decided to take a chance. Wow! My grilled trout, coucous, and grilled vegetables were fabulous. Cocktails didn’t disappoint. Our server chatted and engaged with us, and provided ideas on customizing our meals. I couldn’t resist the pumpkin pie with ice cream…my husband had their rice pudding and we left extremely impressed. Elevate your selections and enjoy the experience. Definitely will return soon.

The calamari was great and I liked the brussel sprouts. The quality of all the dishes were so tasty. Nothing too fancy in terms of ingredients, but everything was high quality. All the salads were incredible; super fresh and flavorful.

Very cool corner place with big window views. Absolutely the best service personnel I’ve seen in a long time. All three brunch plates we ordered were delicious with large portion sizes. Loved my spinach & salmon eggs benedict. Definitely will return on my next Philly visit.

The smell of grilled food attracts me every time I pass by this place. Last week, I finally I had a chance to to try it out for brunch with a friend. We both opted for 18hr brisket press. Personally, not my cup of tea. I found out I’m not a fan of this meat style. But my friend enjoyed it very much. The sandwich comes with coleslaw and fries.

Great place that has something for everyone. I’m picky with my cocktails but the peach iced tea cocktail was AMAZING. I got the marathon burger and my mom got the turkey and grain. Both were solid burgers. The turkey and grain was great with the apple slaw with the touch of sweet. Fries were also delightful! Oliver took good care of us.

Been coming here for 13 years and never been treated poorly. Debbie their greeter was incredibly rude and discriminatory. She deliberately made us wait to be seated when we had a reservation while seating others that were walk ins and after when i asked another employee for a name she decided to seat us. She rolled her eyes when we inquired and when finally seating us gave us a menu with dirt and food all over it. Service matters. This is the first time we have seen her and we are regulars but she needs customer service and bias trianing.

I had been coming to the other Marathon with my dad since I was a teenager. Best burger EVER. Then after he died, I stopped eating meat, but have been enjoying the pierogies and BEST tomato soup in the world. Now, today, we found this other location coming home from a doctor appointment.. I was SO HAPPY to find the soup of the day is MY FAVORITE TOMATO BASIL!! I’m terrible with names but our server is super friendly and attentive. My husband got the matzo ball soup and confirms it’s almost as good as my mother’s. WHY won’t this let me add an image to my review?! There’s no “more” button or camera icon like it says there should be when I Google how to add a photo.
