Wow! Absolute homecooked goodness! We tried two of their three delicious mole styles (Mexican & Guatemalan) on recommendation of Guatemalan acquaintance, who said it’s the best around. He wasn’t kidding. Seating availability is minimal, so be prepared to do take-out. A tight squeeze, but worth it 🙂

I took my mom to Mara’s Grill for dinner on Friday night, and everything exceeded our expectations. We started with the guacamole, which was incredibly creamy, smooth, and fresh. For entrées, we ordered the Chicken Pipian—rich, deeply flavorful—and the Enchiladas Rojas, which had an amazing, mild red sauce that was perfectly balanced.
The service was friendly, efficient, and welcoming. The small dining room was clean, cozy, and decorated with cute plants. While we ate, there was a steady stream of customers picking up carryout, which tells you everything you need to know about how good this place is.
Reasonable prices, unique and delicious food, and great service. Mara’s Grill is a true hidden gem, and I’ll definitely be picking up carryout from them often. Highly recommended.

Food was absolutely disgusting and I’m truly not trying to be rude. If I could give 0 stars I would. Ordered a quesadilla, absolutely no flavor, we knew from that we were probably gonna be disappointed but I tried my hardest to be positive. Then our “pastor” tacos came out. I asked for cheese and avocado. They didn’t have avocados, okay fine. But when I seen the shredded cheddar I almost immediately felt sick to my stomach. The so called pork was absolutely flavorless . I truly believe it tasted like dog food and it didn’t look like pork by any means more like a cheap chicken thigh.. overall would absolutely never ever go there again. We literally took two bites and left our plates on the table and walked away. $40 down the drain.

Finally stopped in and wish I had a long time ago! Everything was fantastic, amazing guacamole, incredible flavor. The steak was marinated superbly and everything was fresh and delicious. One of the best Mexican restaurants in or around Milwaukee. Don’t think twice, you won’t be disappointed.

Driving around Milwaukee with my lady doing some house hunting and we were so very fortunate to stumble upon this fully authentic little establishment. Soon as we walked in, our bellies started rumbling. You can’t fake that wholesome smell!!!. Super friendly couple behind the counter took our orders, offered recommendations, and smiled the whole time. This restaurant is the exact time of place that needs the communities support during these down times. I know we’ll be back. You should definitely try them out!!!!

The spot is tiny but offers great food! There’s a bit of room to dine in, but I saw many folks order take out. I ordered the enchiladas de espinaca and it had tons of flavor and was very good. The rice and beans had great flavor too.
