This is a hidden gem.
If you are around the Highway N and Z area, you need to drive down Z into New Melle.
Great food, great prices and the staff are fun. They have expanded and there are multiple seating areas.

Our first visit to Maracas was a nice one. I had the Pullo Cancun (shrimp, chicken, rice) and it was great. My wife had a very nice burrito. Drinks were top notch. You can’t ask for more than good food, smiling faces, and reasonable prices. Happy customers here.

Good food and a full bar. The beans and rice are good. The salsa has cilantro in it. The prices are reasonable. This place is popular with the locals, so on event days, expect a wait.

I actually really like this place for Mexican food. The portions are huge for the price and you get to try multiple things as well.
I’ve tried take out before (food was great, got the chile poblano, enchilada, and chimichanga). But this time we dined in and got the La Bandera, margarita, and another combo with the chimichanga. My only problem was that I found it a bit salty.
Service was amazing though, server took care of us and she noticed that I liked the chips and gave me extra to take home (that was really thoughtful).
The inside is always so busy which is not a bad thing, it shows that locals come there all the time.
Overall, really enjoyed this place. I would come back for more!

This was the first time we’ve been since the new ownership. It was amazing, so much better. The food was great, our server was so sweet and the margarita I had was great!

After the change of ownership, Maracas is SO back! If you haven’t been in a while, I suggest you give them another try. The margaritas are SO STRONG but also SO DELICIOUS!!!
Let’s just say that by the time we made it to the bottom of the cup, I was having a good time And I even split it with my mom!! If I had a large all to myself, I would have been on the floor

The only thing that still needs some improvement are the chips (I like when they are very fresh—warm and thin and crispy ) but I know they will get there!!

This is our new favorite go-to Mexican restaurant! Truly family owned by brothers David and Gabriel. Delicious home made salsa! Big variety of Mexican dishes. Everything we have tried is absolutely wonderful. Located in New Melle. A short drive from Wentzville (I-70 & I-64) or Hiway 94 wine country and well worth it. Friendly servers. Say “Hi” to David or Gabriel. They’re usually roaming around. New outdoor patio should be ready for Cinco De Mayo.
