The kids working are friendly and enthusiastic, they since happy to be there! But lacking the base knowledge and fundamentals of service.
The kid who took my order even forgot after 15mins that I was waiting. They started making my pizza when they saw me walking back to the building.
About the building, this place needs some love ($$) vents missing, wall plate off or broken hanging in the front, ceiling tes missing. I think there’s just so much going on. Maybe considering only to go pizza is better the receiving guest in this conditions.

Very unprofessional staff. I waited 20 minutes for a plain slice and garlic knots. I had to sit there and watch two separate rushes come in and get their food before me, and that was unacceptable. I stopped going there before due to their poor customer service. No wonder. It’s my fault for going back and giving them another chance. I will never spend another dime with them again, and the pizza isn’t all it’s hyped up to be. This is why Sabatino’s is the better pizzeria.

Tried, Maplewood Pizzeria, for the first time in ages (10+ Years ). I got the Buffalo Chicken, Chicken Parm, & Margherita Slices. Also with a side of Marinara (For the crust #TML). The Buffalo Slice was very good. Would give it a solid 6/10. The Chicken Parm Slice was decent. Would give it a 4-5/10. Their Margherita slice on the other hand was very disappointing. Would give it maybe a 2-3/10. The Marinara Sauce on the side was also extremely disappointing. Not much flavor to it tbh. All in all, even though this particular instance wasn’t the best, they have a really nice staff and some decent slices. There was enough flavor to make an unclouded, but unfulfilled, judgement. Will have to try their other menu items to give an official rating, but would def recommend, Maplewood Pizzeria, for anyone looking for moderately priced and decent tasting pizza in the MAPSO area!

First time going today. I am originally from NY, and we have some pretty good pizzas there. I can say the pizza I had today at Maplewood Pizzeria was absolutely delicious. Thank you! Ordered delivery today and it was so unprofessional and rude! Look maplewood pizzeria don’t act all bougie when delivering to Irvington. LOL the driver stated no parking and come on I have video surveillance I saw everything. It’s the day after Thanksgiving and there was plenty of parking. She pulled into the driveway and shoved the box to my mother and said thanks for nothing and that is exactly why we decided not to tip her because of the unprofessional behavior.
But wait it gets better. I called the restaurant and asked to talk to the manager and she mentioned they don’t have their own delivery driver and the rely on doordash and Uber to order deliver which is a lie!
Ive known this business for years and after today I will no longer support this business and mentioned to others sbout their untruthful behavior.
For the delivery driver I believe in karma because how you treated my mother was unacceptable and lied about parking…listen to the directions to ring the bell instead of sitting in your van. I’m glad I got everything on surveillance.

first i would like to say the workers are very creepy, as my friend was walking up to the counter to get a napkin the worker started at her butt the entire duration of her walking back. the pizza lacks flavor and is super greasy. the tables are also super uncomfortable during the day. floor to ceiling windows where the sun shines directly. sitting here during the day after about 5 minutes will make you sweat. they also over charge and raise prices randomly. do not recommend.

What a wonderful place for Authentic Italian food! My father has been coming here for 14 years and I just had it tonight and the food is just as amazing as the first time I tried it. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a quick bite to eat, or having a nice sit down with the family for the evening! Stephanie is a true gem of the Maplewood community and she catered to our every need, you will not be disappointed! This place needs a michelin star, you’ll be so happy you tried the food!
