My wife and myself (she also has a review) went and waited for staff as they were late. I did not in fact finish my meal, I ate the overly fatty beef simply because at the price I was going to at least eat that. I did not eat the salad mixed in with the beef, I also did not eat the fresh salad. So im shocked to see that the owner claimed we finished off our entire meal. And we both ordered teriyaki boxes and a sunomuno and prices have definitely gone up unfortunately the quality/quantity did not follow the same order.

Great food, staff is always amazing and friendly, sushi is some of the best quality and taste I’ve eaten from many different sushi restaurants from downtown to here but this little gem of a spot will never not be my favourite

We were pretty disappointed when we came here the reviews were great however it said that they opened at 11:30 we showed up at 11:30 doors were locked lights were off on a pretty brisk day finally they showed up around 11:40 and opened up
We got box B chicken the chicken was okay but pretty soggy
Box B beef there were three to four pieces of beef mostly covered in fat like copious amounts of fat and no warning that most of the BoxB beef was covered in vegetables instead of beef which was a little disappointing considering the chicken was just chicken teriyaki sauce and rice not sure why the beef wasn’t the same the salad that came in there didn’t taste like dressing had a little bit of white sauce but mostly water
The rolls were okay the miso soup tasted pretty bland
We also ordered two sonomono one ebi and one veggie the ebi one tasted off my husband said like soapiness the veggie one was good
We’ve been to a lot of sushi restaurants and had some really great experiences so we thought we would give this one a shot unfortunately it is definitely not worth the 1895 for the bento box portions are very small compared to other sushi restaurants
When you ask for tea it comes in a little French Press which I thought was super cute but the aluminum cups it came with definitely have a very strange taste once the tea is put in it

The service was amazing since I got from the entrance until I left. The food was spectacular, fresh and really delicious, we got sushi rolls 7 flavours and they were fabulous! Thank you Maple Sushi

***After the experience I had last time I was excited to go back this evening and have some sushi and a beer. I ordered the flaming tuna which is something I’ve never tried there before. Unfortunately they were so heavy handed on what tasted like garlic Mrs Dash that when I took one bite I had to spit it out. In the menu description it didn’t even mention it having any dried garlic sprinkle on it. I told the waitress that it wasn’t good and I couldn’t eat it because of the spice. When I went to pay the bill it was still on there. I was surprised as I had expressed that it was inedible and I couldn’t even eat it. I said I felt like I should not have to pay for an item I only took one bite of…The best the owner could do for me is give me %30 off. I said it was unfortunate as customer service these days is king and seeing as I lived across the street I would have become a loyal customer and spent hundreds over time. I understand that times are tight for small businesses but I would have made up in spades but seeing as they couldn’t even take a $10 item off my bill they’ve lost a customer. Sorry Maple Sushi.
Ok. I’ll admit that I’ve driven by Maple Sushi a thousand times and haven’t given it a second thought. I’m glad I finally stopped in. The staff was friendly, it was a fun inviting atmosphere, the sushi was great and the saki was smooth. For my first time there I stuck to the basics and tried the chicken teriyaki bento box and salmon oshi. I’m happy that there is a great sushi place within steps of where I live and I can wait to stop in again and get a little more adventurous. Perhaps it will become a Friday night ritual.

They’re really thoughtful with their takeout packaging. Hot and cold items are separated with pieces of cardboard, and everything is packed snugly and securely so it holds up perfectly on the way home.

The BC roll was dry, the BBQ and smoked salmon were not fresh, and the BBQ salmon was more like canned salmon, the cucumber was soft, dark and not crisp, the lettuce was cut into huge chunks, like a salad, the overall appearance of the rolls was definitely not appetising. This will be the first and last time I use your services.

Best sushi place in Maple Ridge! Tons of variety on the menu with gluten friendly and vegan options as well. I had the pan fried Gyozas, Popeye rolls and Miso Soup, all of which were delicious. In addition to all of this, the service was great and the cost of everything was very affordable. I will definitely be back here!

This places defines the beauty of small businesses. This is a place that truly cares about the food they serve and the customers they serve the food to. I was so impressed of the livelihood that this place brings even before I walked in. You can tell the owners/operators are artsy, crafty, and have a genuine heart for the community.
Plus, this is one of the most vegetarian friendly sushi restaurants I have been to. Definetly the most veggie friendly in maple ridge. As for the food, creative and delicious! And they even have me miso soup and jellies as a free add on from ordering two rolls. Thank you maple sushi, truly!
