We recently visited Maple Street Biscuit Company after reading so many great reviews. We were genuinely excited to finally try it. Unfortunately, our experience was a bit different than what we had seen online.
Let me start with the good — the food itself did not disappoint. The biscuits and gravy are absolutely to die for. I ordered the Retro Breakfast, which came with two eggs, smashed hash browns, bacon, and biscuits. I added sausage gravy, and it was easily the highlight of the meal. My girlfriend had the Power Bowl with eggs, avocado, bacon, spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes, and cheese topped with a balsamic glaze drizzle. Both dishes were flavorful and well put together. No complaints at all about the food.
Now the tough part.
The dining area was simply not clean. I completely understand a brunch rush and being busy, but when trash cans are overflowing and nearly every available table is dirty, that’s not a good look. We had to clean off our own table before sitting down after standing at the table for over 5 minutes. After that, we watched the place empty out quite a bit, yet no attention was given to the dining area.
At one point, 9 out of the 13 tables were dirty — not including the long bar table along the windows. Tables were either not wiped down or still full of plates and cups. We saw at least five other customers walk in, look around for clean seating, and ultimately sit at dirty tables or clean them themselves.
What made it more frustrating was seeing employees walk past dirty tables without addressing them. In some cases, chairs were simply pushed back in, but the tables themselves were left uncleaned. It didn’t feel like an oversight — it felt like the dining area just wasn’t being prioritized.There were also dirty plates sitting in the outside seating area when we arrived, and they were still there when we left. That really stood out. Cleanliness is a basic expectation, especially in a restaurant.
The food deserves praise. The dining room management needs serious improvement. Cleanliness is part of the overall experience, and unfortunately, it took away from what could have been a great visit.
We may give it another shot because the food is worth it — but the front-of-house upkeep definitely needs serious attention.

I was a little disappointed my first time eating here and I was not happy with the atmosphere. The menu wasn’t in full display. I ordered a latte and it tasted just like milk. I also had a chicken biscuit that was pretty good. Too much syrup for my like liking. $20 to eat probably will never return.

This is our second time. It was really busy and had a large group come in with to go orders and of course their is always the one person that is lying on how he was there before others that have already gotten their food. (He came in way after us. Such great parenting in front of son!) They handled it well and people came by making sure everything was good. The previous visit there was only three other customers and it was very quiet so we seen them slow and slammed packed. My husband loves their sausage gravy and biscuits. It reminds him of his mammaws. I tried the fried green tomatoes and they werw good. Both kids have tried the chicken and waffles and recommend. Belgium waffles are good too along with their grits.

After getting our meals wrong a few times, we finally got to eat and it was SO good. We found it interesting that they got it wrong given that we were the only people in there, lol but they made it up. The place was clean and it was affordable

All I can say is WOW! I added this to my list to make sure we came here and man it was the best call! The biscuit was flavorful and the chicken was juicy and perfect! The waffles were outstanding! I had the chicken pimento cheese sandwich with hot honey and it was out of this world! We will be back again and I want to find more locations!!! Staff is so friendly too which is a deal breaker for me for sure! Thank you!!

My wife , youngest son and I were headed to Bass Pro Shops early Saturday morning from Zephyrhills, we needed some breakfast and saw this place on Google maps and seen they had a 4.9 ⭐️ and something called the Squawking Goat biscuit and obviously had to give it a try. It did not disappoint! The fried goat cheese, fried chicken tender , biscuit and pepper jelly all pair together perfectly to make your taste buds happy .They even gave me an extra waffle for some reason and since I’m a glutton I happily accepted the offer. My wife and son also really enjoyed their food . It was definitely worth going a few extra miles out of the way to eat here. The staff are very friendly and the restaurant was very clean , and had some good 90s country music playing , very laid back atmosphere .

I had the best experience at this place everyone was so friendly and greeted us with a smile they were all so helpful and checked on us make sure we didn’t need anything while we ate Dee was so sweet her smile was so warm and inviting and she genuinely seems very happy to be doing her job we offered to tip since we dined in but they let us know they could not take tips so I decided to leave them a five start review hopefully it helps with something I will definitely be back to this location the food was delicious the portions are huge and the place is exceptionally clean

1st time coming here… all i can say is yep! We will for sure come back. The food was amazing, service was steller. The manager here is absolutely amazing, lovely woman that is just a beautiful soul. Everyone we delt with was just absolutely a breath of fresh air and so nice. It was great to be treated like a valued customer and not just a pile a trash. Place was very clean, you can see right back to the kitchen.

We had such an amazing experience today! We loved our server, Lulu, who was just the sweetest! We took our order with the manager, Dee, who was also very sweet and so excited it was our first time eating here! All of the food we had was delicious. I had the Caramel Toffee Crunch iced coffee with the Retro plate and my husband had the hash bowl. Everything was cooked so well and the biscuits and gravy were delicious. The gravy was the most flavorful one I’ve ever had.
The atmosphere is so nice. You can really tell that everyone loves working here and has a great time. You truly feel like family when you come here. You even put your order in under your favorite animal name!!!

My entire experience was incredible. I’ve been coming a few times over the last week since trying the cinnamon roll sooo delicious. Today there was a small wait on the cinnamon rolls and the staff was so sweet offering me a free coffee or anything else while I waited. So welcoming and I will definitely keep coming to this location over others that may be closer for the quality of food and service. 10/10 experience!!
