Manzú is our beachfront restaurant, designed to remind us of the palm thatched huts where the ancients Chorotegans used to live. It offers a relaxed ambiance set by the warm, salty breeze from the sea and the modern twist of an open kitchen. Enjoy our international menu with traditional Tico recipes passed down from generation to generation with our chef’s own twist, all made with fresh, local ingredients and recipes. Let us surprise you with signature cocktails by our own mixologist and his great team using flavors and ingredients from Costa Rica, while you unwind, relax and take in the natural beauty that surrounds you.

We didn’t stay here overnight, but we spent three afternoons at the beach restaurant and bar Manzú honestly, the most beautiful spot in the area. We were lucky to have Kenneth (Alvarado) taking care of us, and he truly made our experience special. Besides being very professional and attentive, he was incredibly kind with our 2-year-old, even playing with him and making him feel so comfortable. Our little one almost became friends with him!
I highly recommend this place, you won’t be disappointed. The cocktails are excellent, the kids’ spaghetti was a big hit , and the sunsets are simply unforgettable!
Offers a spectacular beachfront setting with tables set directly in the sand.
The fresh seafood was flavorful, and perfectly prepared.
Known for signature cocktails like the passionfruit mojito, served with a perfect sunset view.
Features a sophisticated yet relaxed “barefoot luxury” vibe.
The restaurant offers a private, slightly exclusive beachfront atmosphere while remaining welcoming to both locals and visitors. It’s common to see people working remotely, couples enjoying quiet time, and families gathering over meals. One of the highlights is the layout—there are multiple lounge areas and intimate seating options that allow you to feel part of the energy while still enjoying a more private dining experience.
The menu is on the moderate to higher end and reflects a premium dining experience in Santa Teresa. There are market-value items and daily specials, and you can tell the kitchen is intentional and detail-oriented in how everything is prepared, from the drinks to the meals and desserts.
The staff are attentive, professional, and consistently check in to ensure everything is just right without being intrusive. In the evening, the ambiance is especially memorable, with tiki torches lighting the path to the restaurant and creating a magical beachfront vibe.
Whether you’re a traveler looking for a special beachfront restaurant in Santa Teresa or a local seeking a high-quality dining spot for coffee, work, or a relaxed dinner by the ocean, Manzú is absolutely worth visiting!
As the path opens, the view feels like a fairytale: the ocean stretching across the horizon, pristine nature all around, the scent of the sea in the air, gentle waves in the background, and soft white sand beneath your feet. Every sense is instantly engaged.
The entrance staff greeted us with warmth and professionalism, making us feel immediately at home. Shortly after, Emanuel and Jesús guided us to our table, giving us the freedom to choose the perfect spot—an elegant yet relaxed touch that defines Manzu’s atmosphere.
Emanuel took the time to ask about my preferences and recommended the Passionfruit Ceviche, which was outstanding—fresh, vibrant, and perfectly balanced. José suggested a Carajillo (espresso with Licor 47), and it was exceptional. Every recommendation felt thoughtful and personal.
Manzu is more than a restaurant it’s an experience where nature, cuisine, and genuine hospitality come together beautifully. I will return every single time I visit Costa Rica.
PURA VIDA!!!
