For hotdog connoisseurs, this is the place. Chicago dogs served up Chicago style. Vienna beef, Vienna poppy seed buns, Chicago chili, peppers, neon relish, onion, tomato, dill pickle, made to order. This is the REAL DEAL in Manzanita, OR. Also, you can kick back and enjoy a beer or wine in our courtyard. This is a laid-back comfortable place to enjoy with your family.

Found this hidden gem as we drove around the Oregon coast to enjoy the scenery.

We had the Chicago dog and a cup of their salmon chowder which was pretty flavorful yet mild, really good!

And they are dog friendly which was perfect for our fur babies! They even have a little “dog treat” box with individual bite size hot dog pieces for the pooches which I thought was reallt adorable!

Owners have a AMAZING setup here and they are pretty efficient in getting the orders out!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND for a quick bite!

Fun and friendly casual place. Had a Chicago style dog on lettuces and the salmon chowder. Family run place and the matriarch was passing out fruit snacks to the kids! And they had dog treats to pass out.

Manzanita Mudd Dogs Rock!
Tucked away away in a corner lot a few steps from the sea, MMD ,totally rocks. The vibe is a beachy , nouveau food cart buzz with plenty of seating ( some under cover).
Service is quick, efficient and friendly.
The Chicago dawgs come fully dressed with peppers, onions, a slice of dill pickle , mustard all loaded into a soft bun. The salmon chowder was equally tasty and was a special hit on this cooler Oregon Coast late July day.
Manzanita Mudd Dogs draws sizable fans, deservedly……….but no worries, the line moves fast, and the smiles tell all!
Handicap is doable and recommended
Restrooms–I didn’t see any.
Final Take–Highly recommended for covering all bases . I’m ready for a return visit anytime ———-soon!

Our first time in Manzanita & also trying out this adorable hot dog place. They were beyond wonderful & friend. I was over the mood knowing they have even something for vegans! It’s tough to find places to eat by the beach that cater to vegans. So, finding them was a gem! The ingredients were fresh & everything was delicious!

A nostalgic beach place that I visit regularly—for over twenty years. I can’t get enough of their Chicago dogs and the warm, dog friendly family hospitality. My dad used to ask me upon returning from the beach: ‘How many did you have?!’

UPDATE: This little stand has always had fantastic Chicago dogs (called “Mudd Dogs” here because their family name is Mudd)
But now they also do a couple of excellent breakfast meals too! (plus mimosas!)
Breakfast brats with eggs, peppers and cheese. They also have biscuits and gravy.
They have classic 80’s music playing softly in the background. What a great place to eat breakfast and lunch just a block from the beach. Can’t wait to come back!

Authentic Chicago-style dogs, or ask for whatever you want. If there’s a line, you’ll probably wait, so take a breath and embrace Manzanita time. Very dog-friendly: they have treats that are hotdog pieces, so pretty much the best.

First time in Manzanita & I was craving a glass of wine on the beach & something tasty as hell to eat. Found them on Google & WAS NOT disappointed!
You smell the delicious dogs cooking as you walk up.
The picture of the Chicago Dog had me sold✅ And boy did they deliver!
It was everything I wanted! ALL the fixins were DELISH!
SO glad to give them my money!

My husband and I came to town the day after our wedding for a week-long honeymoon! Mudd Dogs was the first place we stopped (it was one of the only places still open at 6pm on a monday). Not only is the owner unbelievably nice, the food is downright good! I have never been a big fan of hotdogs, but now I don’t think I’ll ever have one as good as the Chicago-style dogs we got here. We came back the day after for some lunch to eat on the beach and he also gave us some free firewood! (“Can’t have a beach vacation without a beach fire!”) I can’t recommend this place enough, go for some amazing food and an even better chat.

Awesome place to eat! Their veggie dogs are cooked on a separate surface than their meat hot dogs, which I really appreciated! The seating outside is dog friendly and they had dog treats!!! If I had one complaint I would say the buns were a little softer than I normally like for a well-topped hot dog, but that is a minor thing. Overall, loved this place and would come back.
