The food ans service was excellent! The pork Verde hit the spot. Margarita was excellent with Patron. The atmosphere was a little weird with the pool table in the middle of the room. But, it is a night club at night.

Manzanita was amazing! I’d highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates great Mexican food and service.

I started with a Margarita, which was refreshing and delicious. I liked that it wasn’t too sweet. The salsa bar had a nice variety, with each salsa clearly labeled in order by spice level. I tried two of the medium-spicy ones, and they had a nice kick to them.

For my main dish, I ordered Manny’s Burrito because I was curious about the cactus in it, and it did not disappoint! The beef was incredibly generous, tender, and flavorful, while the refreshing cactus balanced it out perfectly. The portion was huge, but after a long morning hike, I was hungry enough to finish it.

The staff were also very attentive and friendly, and I had a great time. It’s just a little outside the town center, but definitely worth going!
I’d love to come back next time I’m in the area!

Honestly, the best authentic Mexican food in Idyllwild! I came on friday and ordered the Agauchiles and they were delicious with the perfect amount of spice! My husband ordered the enchiladas and they where fresh and the sauce was amazing. The beans and rice taste just like home.

We where so impressed with not just there food but also their costumer service so….we came back for round 2 the following day and this time I got pic to share with you guys!!!

On our 2nd return I ordered a Coctel de Camaron y pulpo (shimp & octopus seafood cocktail) when it arrived it looked so colorful and you could tell the vegetables where freshly cut! I took the first bite and I am not lying its been a while since I has such an amazing coctel! It had the perfect amount of lemon, veggies and the flavor was so delicious. The shrimp and pulpo (octopus) cooked to perfection. My mouth is watering just talking about it!

My husband really loves the enchilada sauce so this 2nd round he went with enchiladas again and flautas. Amazing flavor and servings where perfect.

Hands down the the best authentic Mexican food in Idyllwild and I have been to several when I visit the town.

Thank you to everyone at Manzanita’s for their amazing food and hospitality!!

We have been wanting to try this place for a while and finally got the time. We came here on a Sunday and it wasn’t busy at all. The seating area is on the smaller side but not tight. There is a little bar and then a handful of tables. The staff was friendly and informative. They have a nice salsa bar with a bunch of different selections. We all got different entries and they were all pretty good. Prices were as expected and we will be back to try more of the menu.

Manzanita Cantina and Grill is a fantastic spot for Mexican cuisine! The food was absolutely delicious, bursting with authentic flavors. We went with friends and tried their chicken fajitas and churros with ice cream—it was awesome. The warm ambiance and friendly staff made the dining experience even better. Highly recommend this place for a great meal!

The food is great in this tiny restaurant. The preparations are excellent, and the flavors are fresh and enticing, a step up from most restaurants of this type. The chips are freshly prepared, the salsas are good, and the self-serve salsa bar makes it easy. I recommend the beef enchiladas suizas. The California burrito is also delicious and huge.

Mid week, mid August, mid day. 20 years visiting Idyllwild and never dined here. In short – we’ll be back.
Edgar performed all duties, it seems, and did all well, with a pleasant smile and gracious host attitude. Cheese enchiladas for my wife and a two tostada plate for me. Generous portions and some truly unique ingredients in the shredded beef and chicken. This is NOT Mexican food – it is Mexican CUISINE. Go, you will be pleased! Just don’t wait 20 years like we did.
Oh, BTW – great selection at their salsa bar.

Place was amazing. The food was amazing ! Service , I think her name was Gabriela she gave absolutely amazing service! The corn omg where do I start with the corn it was so, so good . I do not think I have ever had elote corn that tasted so good, and presentation was on point. I got the California burrito, it was so flavourful, and the fries inside were crispy it was loaded with carne asada so good. My friend got the carne asada fries huge portion it pretty much looks like a california burrito with the tortilla. Absolutely recommend!!!
