We ordered tuna ahi and sea scallops for appetizer , but the taste of scallops was very weird (with the sous didn’t much) thanks to our waitress Kristen, she gave us amazing hospitality and offer scallops with the sauce on the side and for main course, the same. And it work great. We enjoyed our first dinner in Ritz.

The moment you walk in, you’re greeted with genuine warmth and friendliness. The open kitchen is unreal, and the restaurant itself is stunning, with beautiful views that elevate the entire experience. The service is truly world class, every single staff member was welcoming, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable. We trusted our server’s recommendations and ordered everything they suggested, and it was an absolute 10/10 across the board. An amazing experience from start to finish. Highly recommend.

We had our last dinner in Tahoe at Manzanita and it was such a nice evening. The salad was really good, the scallops were delicious, and the sides were great too. The steak was amazing as well. The sauce wasn’t as bold as I expected, but the meat itself was so good that it didn’t matter. Our server was very friendly, but didn’t seem to know everything about the dishes, so it didn’t feel super professional, especially for a hotel restaurant. Still, we had a wonderful dinner

The food was great, but the service was even better.
Branzino was perfectly cooked – maybe needed a tad more salt.
The steak was more than perfectly cooked medium rare with crispy edges.
Cocktail was ok, not my favorite but the red wine was very good (Chianti)

This beautifully designed restaurant, looks out to the stunning views of the outdoor seating of the hotel as well as the breathtaking views of Tahoe natural beauty. Located at the Ritz Carlton, one can expect to see and taste perfection in every dish. Our waitress Brigitte was so friendly and a joy to talk to, that I couldn’t get enough of her. We spoke French and loved talking about the old French artists from the seventies. It’s such amazing encounters that make a restaurant experience even more memorable. Brigitte is undoubtedly one of the greatest people this restaurant could ever have.

Manzanita Restaurant is wonderful!

Gorgeous setting.

Food was beautifully plated and flavorful. Steak was cooked to perfection. Sun chokes and other appetizers were perfect though portions were small for the price.

Professional and friendly service.

We enjoyed the cocktails made by the affable and fabulous bartenders Neil and Ivonne. Very inventive bar menu.

Pricey. But hey. It’s the Ritz and not surprising. They could comp the bread though. $9 for a roll with beautifully rolled butter was a bit over the top.

Located within the Ritz-Carlton Lake Tahoe, I had the best fish tacos ever here today. Yes, the menu for lunch is a little limited, but everything we had was outstanding. The restaurant itself is beautiful, and the service was excellent from the bartender who also served us lunch. Manzanita is a great special occasion restaurant and one we’d all highly recommend!

What a great experience. We were at Manzanita in May which is their quieter season and even with a quiet dining room everything was amazing. The food was vibrant, flavorful and creative. The service from our waiter Joey was so thoughtful. We were celebrating a personal milestone and he brought out a lovely dessert to mark the occasion. The bread + compound butters were amazing to start off. The tuna was delicious as an app with gorgeous presentation and the entrees were perfectly cooked (filet mignon for me and scallops for her). Thanks Manzanita staff for a great night!

I had the pleasure of dining at Manzanita, the Ritz Carlton hotel restaurant, during a family reunion in June, and it was an exceptional experience. The journey to the restaurant via the gondola added a unique touch of adventure to our visit.

The ambience at Manzanita is truly top-notch, creating the perfect setting for a special occasion. The friendly and attentive service further enhanced our dining experience, making us feel welcomed and valued.

During these challenging times, the transition to a buffet-style menu was a smart move, and the selection did not disappoint. Our favorites included the succulent duck, perfectly seared scallops, delightful shrimp with brussel sprouts, and the delectable crab dishes. But the highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the amazing tiramisu dessert that left our taste buds dancing with joy.

Our day took an unexpected turn when we realized we had missed the gondola’s early closure. However, the Ritz Carlton staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and safety by arranging a van to transport us back to our lodge at the foothill of the mountain. This level of care and service truly made our visit memorable.

My family and I visited The Ritz-Carlton Lake Tahoe for dinner at Manzanita for my birthday this year. In the off-season, this high end ski resort is a peaceful place to dine, free of the swarms of hungry skiers and snowboarders. It was an enjoyable experience, luxurious being the first word in my mind. The service was impeccable, our server Gabby was attentive and inviting, making sure our every need was taken care of. As a wine enthusiast, their list was beautifully curated with something for everybody, although curiously lacking a sherry selection for a place featuring Pacific-Northwest Mexican fusion. Featuring a seasonal menu that changes regularly, the scallops were a delight, served with wood fired carrots and butternut squash puree. And the salmon with a rice paper sprayed in spirulina was exceptional and made a beautiful lunch from the leftovers. The real touch for me was the plate of mini macarons they served for dessert, served on a plate with a hand piped, “Happy Birthday.” Needless to say, I cannot wait to go back.
