it was a mixed experience overall.
Starting with the atmosphere, the place has a nice, relaxed vibe. The decor is warm and rustic, which fits the steakhouse theme well. It feels like the kind of place you could enjoy a long dinner with friends or family. The lighting and music were just right—not too loud, not too dim. There’s definitely effort put into making the setting feel welcoming and comfortable.
As for the food, it was just OK. Not bad, but nothing to really rave about either. The steaks were decent, but I’ve had better cuts and seasoning elsewhere. The sides were a bit underwhelming and didn’t quite stand out. It’s the kind of meal you forget pretty quickly after leaving.
The biggest downside was the service. It was noticeably slow from the moment we walked in. We waited quite a while to be seated even though it wasn’t packed, and the time it took to get our food felt excessive. Our server was polite but seemed overwhelmed or possibly understaffed.
Overall, Manuel’s has potential, especially with its atmosphere, but both the food and service could use improvement to justify a return visit.

The service was good. There was only one server and she was friendly, & attentive. There was another person there, my hope is that he wasn’t serving, I saw him playing with his tongue with his finger. (Gross) the Salsa was amazing, however if you want seconds of chips and salsa you will be charged $4.00!
The tacos I got were just, okay. All in all definitely not worth the $25.00 I paid. Would I recommend?, probably not.

After a few days hiking in Big Bend National Park we needed some steaks and drinks asap! We were not disappointed! We got steaks with shrimps, quail, and lots of fun cocktails. Our server was very friendly and jumped at making sure we weren’t empty on our beverages. Festive inside, you can tell it’s a place to go to have some fun. When we arrived in Del Rio and searched for steakhouses, the options weren’t many but we’re glad we found this one!

Last time I was inside, it was still a sit down restaurant. Now it’s more of a sports bar/restaurant with sit down prices. Food was good, service was friendly if not a bit sparce. All in all it was nice but not a date destination any longer.

Ordered an enchilada plate and it was disgusting. I don’t know what ingredients yall put in those filthy enchiladas. rice tasted like it was from the pouch. Beans eh. everything is way overpriced over. I don’t recommend this plate. do better please. Los betos serves a way better with great flavor food than here. save your money

Best kept secret in Del Rio! Amazed from coming in and being greeted, getting my seat and ordering. The menu is awesome and the alcohol is good as well. They have margarita towers, ribeyes, and shrimp. Waitress was great and I didn’t go without anything. The price is there, but my happiness and stomach got full. Definitely recommend if you’re in town. I will frequent more
