In our last visit, we tried Gobi Manchurian, Vada Pav, Paneer Hot Dog, Rasam, Mysore Masala dosa, Paneer Tikka Masala, their combination dinner mini-plate, and Jamoon for dessert. The variety of their unique offerings is impressive while the taste and quality is unparalleled. I would recommend each of these items as a must try!!
We love their customer service, their manager, Mr. Prince, and all their staff take personal care for the regulars and new comers like a family member, customize orders if necessary and they serve with love and kindness, always.
They offer unique monthly specials that our family always looks forward to.
If you are in Sacramento area or if you are on your way to Tahoe or nearby Folsom area, you will be certainly glad if you try Mantra.
Mantra is my highest recommendation, whole heartedly, without any reservations.
For example:
The roti was $3 but so hard and rubbery and oily. One parotta for $4 wouldn’t feed a kid. Not sure how they came up with this weird pricing.
Curries that came with rice had rice like its pickle. They need to work on quantities.
I also tried the Aloo Paratha, which was decent, though I personally prefer it thinner and crispier, as that’s what truly brings out the authentic Punjabi style.
The service was good overall—prompt and courteous. What really stood out to me was the cleanliness of the place. The restaurant was very well-maintained, and the restrooms were exceptionally clean, which is often a challenge for Indian restaurants, so this was a big plus.
Overall, it’s a very good place with great food, good service, excellent cleanliness, and prices that are quite economical. I would definitely recommend it and look forward to visiting again.
The owner clearly has a vision for promoting healthy food, and the ambiance was top-notch. The beautiful, melodious flute music playing in the background added to the serene and relaxing atmosphere, making the experience even more enjoyable. The place radiated positive energy, and we loved it so much that we can’t wait to return for more.
Thank you for creating such a beautiful space and for your inspiring vision!
My favorite was a curry pronounced Dhal Ta Ka. There was a lady who appeared to be Indian who I heard say she doesn’t like Dosa, until she had it today. Sounds promising for other dishes! I would like to try other dishes when I pass by the area again.
