Great food! Comfy environment. Staff was a pleasure. Becky was our server. Got the veal sandwich with fries and slaw. Wife got a cheeseburger with the works, ranch fries and slaw. Huge portions. Hot, fresh and delicious. Will return for perch sandwich or broasted pork chops next time!

Had my first experience here today. I ordered lunch for take out, and this was a perfectly fine and reasonable experience.

Young lady on the phone was kind and polite. I was on hold for about five minutes, but once I was able to speak with her my order was quick and easy to put in.

I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with fries. I asked for lettuce, tomato, and onion on my burger. I also ordered a piece of blackberry pie.

The burger was fine. Veggies seemed fresh. The patty is small. But the burger had good flavor. I didn’t realize there was no sauce on the burger. So I received mine dry today. But no big deal, I added some BBQ sauce to it when I got home.

Odd that it doesn’t just come with ketchup, mayo, or mustard. But again, not a big deal. Just be aware when you order you have to request a sauce for it.

The fries are just fries. Not seasoned, not thick cut, but also no thin cut. They weren’t bad, but they also didn’t inspire any emotional response at all. Basic, bland, but I ate them. So there is that.

The good news is you get a healthy portion of fries. So that’s nice.

The pie was tasty, but it might be the smallest piece of pie I’ve ever received at a restaurant. I’ve ordered pie from a lot of restaurants, this was by far the tiniest piece I’ve ever received.

That being said, it’s better to taste good and get less of it, than receive a heaping pile of something that tastes awful.

All in all, the food here seems alright. Not awful, not great, but alright.

Will I be back? Probably. I want to give the place a second chance.

I’ve been eating here quite often I work very close by and many of my workmates. It is basic down home cooked meal. My experience yesterday negated all the good and left me feeling rather hopeless. I go in to order a simple hamburger and fries. No cheese on the hamburger. add lettuce tomato onion all that. My hamburger comes out I look at it so tomatoes are pink with a moldy spot right between two slices so both are moldy. No one was around to respond or serve me so I went out to my car and grab my own tomato which was ripe heirloom and of course not moldy. Accidents can happen but I was never even apologized to or given any compensation. Only more unripe pink tomatoes from the same nasty knife and nasty cutting board which I obviously didn’t want since I already got my own real tomato. The issue wasn’t that an accident happened it’s that it wasn’t corrected and that has me wary of going back and having more of the same from the same people that didn’t care the first time. I pointed it out to more than one person who’s been there for 35 years at least but she didn’t care to even hear what I said. Wow we will see how many views this gets. Perhaps I will get a response.
I don’t usually bother with negative reviews however when they don’t care it affects me and you and it was obvious they did not care.

Waitress was awesome! Never missed a beat. Time wise wasn’t rushed but the flow was steady. They have an amazing western omelette

Typical ma and pa restaurant! Booths only no table/ chair combo – makes it much easier for our kiddos especially with the crayons and coloring pages!

Food is great whether it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner!

Very nice waitresses – some need to work on attitudes BUT they definitely go out of the way to make sure you have what you need before food arrives and makes sure food is served to how it is ordered! If there’s a mistake or issue they are quick to fix it!

Very affordable! As a family of 4 we order quite a bit and still walk out paying under $40 (that’s with good tipping)!

Definitely recommend Southside vs Westside. Westside feels more crowded – tend to be more backed up than Southside. Southside brings a sense of peace vs Westside sparks anxiety with more noise and people. Food is also a lot better on Southside than Westside!

Door dashed. Philly steak was not desirable at all. I seen 1 tiny piece of green pepper. Meat was overcooked. Salad only had carrots shaved and iceburg lettuce not sure if there was cheese. Poor excuse for salad. And BEstOf ALL. They Forgot the pie. I wont be returning.

It’s a nice casual restraunt, A big menu.
My wife got a salad, spaghetti with meatballs and garlic toast. The salad was very basic, the spaghetti was a little watery. I had a walleye sandwich and sweet potato fries. For dessert she had a piece of coconut cream pie and I had a chocolate peanut butter cream pie. Which was delicious by the way.The pies are Amish made too. Our waitress was great and made you feel at home.

It’s okay. I had the meatloaf with green beans lunch special. The meatloaf was good, but the green beans had no flavor at all and had to be doused with salt and pepper. The rolls came out cold with cold butter. Trying to spread cold butter on a cold roll is an exercise in madness. It doesn’t take much to warm up rolls before you send them to the table.

This is a diner that is old school with good food and great service. The food does not stand out but if I was a local I would be there every Saturday AM.
