The place was packed for a reason: everything is delicious! We tried the ciabatta and their rustic breads and I can tell you that they are the closest thing to real Italian style bread I tried in a very long time.
The ciabatta has chubks olive in it and the rustic bread has a delicious crust that pairs up great with fresh mozzarella and olive oil.
Their almond escargot is moist and rich of flavor and hazelnut pastry is worth a trip by itself!
We loved it and we will definitely go back next time we are in the area.

While nominally a bakery of interesting and healthy breads, this place is also a complete coffee shop with a great selection of lattes and breakfast pastries.

I tried their honey bun latte and an everything Danish. The latte was pretty good and the Danish was definitely interesting – an interesting contrast between the sweet cheese filling in the middle with the salty everything bagel crust.

There is a good Internet connection here and good outdoor seating with a patio. I wish the indoor seating was better, so that I could work a little inside comfortably while sipping a coffee rather than at a side wall bench.

There is even a wine bar here which looks like a tempting choice later in the day

The service was good and it fun watching them doing their job, making coffees and sandwiches.

I really didn’t like the sausage, egg and cheese biscuit I got. The egg was a gelatinous slab and the “onion jam” made the whole thing slippery so the sandwich contents slid out. Give me a McDonald’s sausage biscuit egg any day over this mess and put the $10 saved in my pocket.

Some of the other items on display looked good, but it may take some time to get over the disappointment with my first visit.

Manresa Bread doesn’t accept cash, which is financial discrimination against low-income people and unbanked people without credit cards. They intentionally exclude specific, often vulnerable customer groups. I couldn’t buy bread and had to leave from the register because I didn’t have a credit card. I only had cash on me.

As an American, I should have the choice to pay a $12 transaction with cash, not to be forced to pay only credit card with 4% Surcharge added. They don’t mind cash tips though, which is ironic; there’s a huge glass jar with cash tips on the counter.

And the staff is very arrogant and condescending about their “cash-free establishment”.

Wow! My Santa Cruz sandwich was so delicious! And I complemented it with vegan (dairy-free) tomato soup!

1) Freshly-baked bread is fantastic, a perfect blend of greens including mint (love it!) but has dressing – if you’re sensitive to dressings and vinegars ask to make it without it or add little of it.

2) I loved the generous amount of greens and slight kick of jalapeños (they were not very in my sandwich, just added flavor) – ask to omit if you don’t like jalapeños. Otherwise it had hummus, cucumbers, and red onions.

3) Vegan chocolate banana bread looked good too. Because sandwich is so big and the amount of the soup too – I’ll have to come another time to try it!

Thank you Manresa Bread! It’d be wonderful if you could add another one or two vegan pastries without chocolate as well!

This coffee shop, located in the heart of downtown Los Gatos, serves Verve Coffee, known for its rich flavor and consistently smooth finish.

But the real standout here might be the bakery. Every item is baked to perfection, with a quality that rivals, and perhaps even surpasses, anything you’ll find elsewhere in the Bay Area.

My go to place for European freshly baked bread and croissants. Whole wheat bread and Levain are amazing. I go here twice a week. They have Verve coffee. There is a small indoor seating area and a bigger outdoor seating.

Really really good food. The bread is delicious. You can order bread (for pickup) at wonderful little bakery, and it is so so good. You can also order food for dine-in, and even though the menu is a little small, it is still a wonderful place to have brunch. Some of the best bacon you will ever have.

I really loved their bread. I tried their Monkey bread which is like a bread pudding with cinnamon and just melts in your mouth. Their butter croissant was nothing special. I had their drip coffee and it was crisp. They had some inside sitting but most of it is outside.
