Customer service matters—and this kind of treatment ruins the entire experience. I won’t be coming back, and I definitely won’t recommend it to others.
My favorite was the sukiyaki wrap. They grill it probably for like 20-30 seconds, drench it in the egg yolk, then roll it up with a little ball of rice in between. Oh, and I was surprised by how delicious the shrimp was.
The food and side dishes had more of a Korean taste to it than a Japanese taste. The beef soup that came out tastes exactly like yukgaejang (spicy korean beef soup). I’m not complaining because I really liked the soup. Tasted clean.
Parking is almost impossible, but if you circle around the back neighborhood area, you can find some metered parking.
Service was good, atmosphere is good, and overall, solid.
Upon entering Manpuku, we were greeted with a warm welcome and ushered to our table, where the true adventure began. Each table comes equipped with its own grill, allowing guests to barbecue their own meat to perfection. The selection of meats provided was fresh and flavorful, ensuring that every bite was a delight to the palate.
What truly set Manpuku apart, however, was the impeccable service. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. Attentive and welcoming, they guided us through the menu and offered recommendations that elevated the meal to new heights.
In conclusion, Manpuku is a culinary gem in the heart of Los Angeles, offering a unique and unforgettable dining experience for all who visit. Whether you’re craving a taste of authentic Japanese barbecue or simply seeking a delicious meal after a day of shopping, Manpuku delivers on all fronts. So, the next time hunger strikes at the Beverly Center, look no further than Manpuku—where delicious food and warm hospitality await.
We did the Kobe Style Beef Course, with a couple add ons. Next time I’d probably do the US Prime course and save a few bucks on the meal. The meat we had was great, but it doesn’t compare to the real Kobe beef you get in Japan (obviously).
Still, really enjoyed this meal. I look forward to coming back.
We chose the wagyu set menu ($88)
We ordered asahi beer which was large in size
The quality of meats was excellent: king prawns were a good size but scallops were on the small side
Was missing a variety of dipping sauces
Generally meats were a good standard and was enough food for all.
