What a great find! I asked Google for steak and the Manor Grill popped up first. The food was excellent. Angie was an awesome attentive server. I wish I had a cozy home cooking restaurant like this where I live. You will not be disappointed. Parking is a little slim so you may have to circle the block to find a place but it will be worth it.

Saw glowing reviews so I wanted to check it out. Their beef liver entree is why so many do not like beef liver. Over cooked shoe leather! My friend ordered shrimp scampi… bland and over cooked. Another disappointment. But if you want lots of food, you will like their portions. Service was friendly and attentive. Atmosphere is absent. At least I tried it.

Classic American diner food of my childhood. Think 1960s. First time we both went for the turkey dinner with salad. Fresh lettuce and all. Dinner veggies, unlike 60 years ago, not cooked within an inch of life, rather nicely sauteed, not too crunchy. Good stuffing. Turkey, you can ask for light or dark meat.
Really home like dinner. Only negative was no cranberry sauce
Second time around I went for meatloaf. 2 nice slabs with mashed potatoes and vegetables.
Prices are very reasonable for 2024, we shall return. Good new place for us to dine in. Don’t know how we missed going here for years

This is a nice local diner in San Leandro.
Food is good, service can be a little
Slow especially if there are several tables being served. Just accept that these good folks are working hard, trying to take care of all the customers and get food on the tables.
It’s a nice place to get a fairly decent meal.
Parking is ok, place is easy to get to.
If you are looking for a comfortable, less noisy mom and pop diner to get a meal, this is your kind of place.

The service here is exceptional! I was impressed by how well our waiter interacted with his clients and staff. He was attentive to all tables and did a wonderful job making sure everyone was taken care of. I’ll update my review once I learn his name (my nephew is a regular here).

I got the Special, which was the smothered steak. It was smothered in mushrooms. The steak was a bit thin, and the gravy was very thin. However, our Server was wonderful!!!

This place is a staple in the Washington Manor area. I’d guess that the service is what people come for. They’re always super nice and they’re never so crowded that you get overlooked or forgotten. It’s an old family/meeting spot for us around here so I fully support them.
