Excellent fresh fish! Cozy traditional interior with relaxing music. The service is fantastic! We were the only ones here during the hours between lunch and dinner. The kind, friendly woman running the store made our meal very special. We had a vegan with us and she made sweet potato rolls for her! So kind. We’ll be back.

Highly recommend. I had the most flavorful Miso soup I have ever had. Its a nice quiet cozy atmosphere and the lady serving us was extremely kind. I will be going back soon. Everything we ate was delicious. I recommend the Spring Train sushi roll.

Food quality isn’t up to snuff in my experience, had a frozen scoop of mashed potatoes and a frozen but heated up on a skillet salmon with some sushi in the bento.

The udon was good but the meal and the smell inside left quite a bit to be desired that were not met at the time.

Manooben is the cutest little hole-in-the-wall! It’s cozy, homey, and owned by the sweetest Korean mama and papa. The kind of place that makes you feel at home. The name of the restaurant is an acronym for maki, noodle, and bento lol. So cute.

I tried the hand roll combo. Two massive hand rolls, packed with fresh ingredients, and a bowl of homemade udon that hit all the spot. The broth was simple but flavorful. It was clean and refreshingly light. The hand rolls were absolutely perfect. I’d go weekly for this combo if this place was near my workplace.

I also tried the spring train maki. The texture and flavors were solid, but those rolls are so fat and hearty, it will fill your whole mouth with every bite. You can really feel the love from the papa chef with those fat cuts.

Lastly, I tried the sashimi rice (Hwedupbap). The bowl was massive, and I wanted one at home so bad. This dish is also very simple, fresh sashimi over rice, drizzled with their homemade sauce. I love a good homemade sauce. I ended up squeezing that sauce onto every bite cause I love my food saucy.

Such a small place, full of love! I can’t wait to go back.

I took my kids out to lunch and had a great time. We didn’t have a wait to be seated and the food was great. The service was very good and accommodating to my small children.

This place is so adorable I love it so much! I had the spicy beef kimchi bowl and it was incredible. My partner got a tonkontsu bento box and they were also very happy. The tea is also delicious, and the staff are super friendly! If you’re ever in the Glenview area I would highly recommend, 5 stars all around.

This place is amazing. It’s like you are in someone’s home. The waitress was so nice and friendly, like having dinner at a family friend’s place. Food was also delicious. It is tucked away in the back corner of the shopping square. Don’t miss out!

This is a hidden gem located in the corner of a dumpy strip mall. Take the time stop in if you like Japanese food. The service was excellent as well as the food. Prices are very reasonable. I wish I found this place sooner.

Manooben is a gem of a Japanese spot, with its cozy house-like ambiance and welcoming atmosphere. I indulged in their scrumptious udon, which was delightfully light and not too overpowering, along with their crispy tempura. The experience was made even better by the kind and attentive service from the lady who took care of me. Highly recommend this place for a solo dining experience that feels like home.

Food felt like it was pre-prepped then out on refridgerator. My bento had california roll with cold/hard rice and even salmon maki tasted like it was left standing at a refri, and not made on spot. Pretty disappointed youngo to a restaurant and receive grocery market quality sushi..
