If you want a quick, grab-and-go BBQ, this is the place to go. I was looking for a quick lunch where I didn’t have to wait to be served, but I also didn’t want fast food. So, I decided to try Manny’s since it was the only BBQ spot in Newark I hadn’t visited yet.
Compared to the competition, this place feels more like a buffet-style, grab-and-go BBQ joint, but you can also sit down and eat inside if you prefer. I really liked the food — it was delicious, especially the rice! If I’m ever in a rush and nearby, I’ll definitely come back.

This place is definitely YUMMMAAAAYS!!!! This spot has always been a Spanish food restaurant ever since I was a child. I grew up in Newark. Don’t live there no more but anytime I come here. I make sure I stop on this corner to grab me something to eat.

Manny’s is so historical in Newark. I never miss a beat when I come here to make sure I come to Manny authentic Dominican food. I love the Roz condoles and their oxtails today. I got pepper steak.

Called to make a large catering order for delivery, was informed they don’t do delivery and before I offered to pick up the food he had already hung up. It was food for 110 people. Their loss. Rating solely based on their service, didn’t get to try the food is see the atmosphere because they guy was an idiot. Be careful who you hire to tend to your business.

My husband was so excited and wanted me to try this food, but it wasn’t good, not tasty, it needs more sazon, also they rush to much for you to order even though there is no line. Expensive food for the quality and service. I will not come back again.

We were lured in by smell of charcoal and saw them grilling! Rice and beans with 1 huge kabob was $10 was reasonable. Food was delicious and my chicken kabob was really tasty and perfect (I was afraid it was going to be dry.) Their fried potato ball was good too! Will be stopping by again!

The short Spanish man discriminates against you if you’re not Spanish. Came here and was charged $27 for a platter of takeout food. The next Spanish gentlemen, after me got the same food and was only charged $17. Won’t be returning. Food isn’t fresh anyway, and the man outside grilling the food doesn’t use gloves and isn’t sanitary. You can keep it.
