I visited Mannino’s in Hammonton hoping for a good cannoli experience, but I was very disappointed. While I was speaking with staff, both employees had their phones in hand during our conversation. When I brought it up, the owner excused it by saying one of them was waiting for an important phone call. In my opinion, if a call is that urgent, businesses can provide a landline or another solution, but instead of acknowledging my concern, they seemed to try to make me feel wrong. I would recommend going to Canoli Capeesh just 3 minutes away.
Then they went so far as to report me as being a fake page and got me removed from Atlantic County eats page along with all of my posts. So by trying to protect their own business they had all of my posts raving about other businesses. That says more about their business. Obviously I am not a fake person.
I also posted about my experience on social media, and that post was removed. From my perspective, this feels more about controlling complaints than improving the customer experience. While the cannoli and tiramisu were okay, I cannot recommend this business based on how customers are treated and owners standing up for rude and disrespectful behavior from employees. They also did not like the fact that I chose the other restaurant as having the better cannoli. They also do not sell mini cannolis the girl told me I would have to buy a tray. I said what am I going to do with a full tray and then the other girl said well you can also buy a dozen. They were not helpful they were in anything but.

To clarify, my review was about my personal experience with your staff, not the cannoli itself. My main concern was that the employee was on her phone while speaking to me. No employee, especially when handling food, should have their phone in their hands, as phones are one of the germiest items we touch. Clearly, this was not an emergency, and anyone needing to reach her could have called your shop directly.
Being on the phone in front of a customer while trying to assist them and handle food should be unacceptable, yet instead, you made excuses for it. That behavior shows customers that your priority is more about teenagers on their phones than providing proper service. This is why many patrons, including myself, will not return.

Came for the famed blueberry cannoli. Should’ve heeded other reviewers’ feedback.. Indeed pastey thick cream. Cannoli shell, chocolate dipped with pistachio, was nice. Overall rather hefty for a conceptually light airy dessert.

Mannino’s Cannoli Express brought their food truck to our employee appreciation day and absolutely nailed it! The cannolis were made fresh, the setup looked great, and the team was friendly, professional, and efficient. Our staff loved the interactive experience and haven’t stopped talking about it. “Wowza!” is the word I’d use to describe the cannolis here! We tried 4 different flavors of filling and they did not disappoint. Each shell was hand filled when you order and they were completely filled. Anyone who has had an empty shell would agree it’s not fun. Not here – they were filled completely! The blueberry cannoli – oh my goodness is that delicious!!! Run, don’t walk there!

Mannino’s is truly a treasure! Everything is usually always delicious but one recommendation is possibly changing how the cannoli shells are stored. We ordered a few today. the filling is absolutely amazing but the shells had that taste where you can tell the food was sitting out and it tastes the way a room smells? Some might understand what I mean and some might not, but I couldn’t get the taste out of my mouth. Other than that, absolutely delicious!
