Unfortunately the fisherman’s basket was awful. The fish pieces were absurdly small see the photo attached!! It was obviously frozen fish not fresh and it was so dry we didn’t eat it. The scollops were fried so much they were burnt and the calamari was stringy and caked in batter.
If you’re after some quality seafood at a good price don’t come here!!

I’ve been eating and enjoying fish and chips all my life- these were some 9f the best I’ve ever had. Whatever that fish beginning with an “L” was, it was delicious. At least as good as the cod or haddock I’m used to. Good service and pleasant atmosphere.

Excellent fish and chips – everything about them; batter, fish, chips, lemon, tartare all on point. Friendly staff, clean and tidy. What more could you ask for.

Shockingly small portions and I’m not exaggerating. It was like paying for a kids meal at full price.
The fish was chewy instead of fresh and flaky, and the fisherman’s basket was way too oily, making everything feel heavy and greasy. For the price, it was really disappointing.

fish and calamari were not tasty and probably frozen. Ok if you are in a hurry but don’t expect great food. Other places around will offer better options.

Correct me if I’m wrong but an octopus has 8 tentacles. We received 4 in our fish and chips box, for the price of $24. Octopus was very salty and chewy. Service was very nice and they tried their best I’m sure but the food was not up to par with expectations of manly. Would not recommend the Tasmanian octopus fish and chips but maybe the other food is better.

We ordered a pack which included 2 pieces of fish 2 calamari & chips. The two pieces of fish were very small and definitely not worth $26, I had a prawn roll which cost $20 I was expecting a nice crispy bread roll but got a brioche bun which of course didn’t have many prawns. For the price it was just not good value.

Manly’s latest fish and chip shop. A worthy addition to Manly and the wharf!
If you want slightly more upmarket seafood in a bar/restaurant environment then go next door to Felons Seafood.
This new fish and chips shop is located on the left corner the main walkway of Manly wharf as you are exiting into Manly.
Interesting choices like prawn rolls, family seafood baskets, many types of fish and optional tallow fries.
Fish was perfectly cooked and everything was piping hot. Well worth the extra to get the tallow fries.
Hot tip – don’t sit in the café, go out and turn left and sit down at the tables on the outer edge of the wharf and watch the beach or sunset! Just keep your takeaway box closed when not using it or the seagulls will snatch your yummy meal!

6:30. Starving. Thought I’d like to try the new fish n chips restaurant in Manly. Ordered snapper and a Greek salad. $40. Seemed a bit expensive so was looking forward to something special. Took awhile to come. Getting hungry now. No dressing for the salad. Waited 15 minutes. Getting angry now. Still no dressing. A lot of confusion behind the counter. Asked for a refund out of principle but the dressing finally came. Just olive oil in a plastic container. Got home in 5. Fish cold. First bite full of scales. 2nd the same. Peeled off the skin. Filled up on soggy chips. Salad wasn’t bad after I added some balsamic. Maybe I picked a bad night but if you’re not ready to open you shouldn’t.
