Great food, a few service hiccups
Great food and an awesome experience trying out this cuisine! We went with the Friends and Family Treat option, which includes 4 proteins and 4 sides for $65. Just a heads-up — only chicken is included in this price; other proteins come with an extra charge ($5–$10 depending on the choice). Also, note that rice isn’t included with the proteins and needs to be added as a side.
It would be nice if the combo came with a dessert or two to round out the meal.
The food itself was delicious, and we really enjoyed it. My one star deduction is for the service — one of our ordered items was missed, and it took quite a while to get plates and utensils. Otherwise, definitely worth a visit for the great flavors!

This restaurant is truly a gem. The food is incredibly fresh, the seasonings are perfectly balanced, and the entire experience feels like an elevated take on Haitian cuisine. Coming from South Florida and growing up around Haitian culture, I can honestly say I’m thrilled to have found Manje. I’m Bahamian myself, so finding a good carribean restaurant in this area is amazing.
Fried Plantains: Hands down the best I’ve ever had. The outside was perfectly crisp, while the inside was soft and flavorful, not dry at all. Truly flawless.
Red Snapper in Sauce: Absolutely delicious. The fish was well prepared, beautifully seasoned, and presented in a way that made the dish even more enjoyable.
Fried Pork: Perfectly cooked and packed with flavor.
Stew Goat: Generous portions of tender goat, rich in flavor and deeply satisfying.
Djon Djon Rice & White Rice with Bean Sauce Also Macaroni: All excellent authentic, hearty, and prepared with care.
Pikliz: Fresh, crisp, and tangy, though not as pickled or spicy as I’m used to. Still a wonderful complement to the meal.
Everything we tried was phenomenal—easily a 10/10 across the board. Manje is now my new favorite restaurant. Even though I live 35 minutes away, I’ll gladly make this a regular spot.
To top it all off, the couple who runs the restaurant couldn’t be sweeter—humble, and welcoming. The restaurant was super clean and had a great ambiance as reggae/afrobeats played softly in the background.

I agree!! Everything was still hot when I arrived home, and absolutely delicious. So happy to have white rice as a side to get all the sumptuous gravy

The Food Kangaroo
Absolutely phenomenal! The plantains were literally the best I’ve ever had in my life. Everything was flavored well and served hot. The Husband and Wife team that run this establishment are some of the warmest and most kind people I’ve met in a really long time. Their great customer service mixed with the really tasty food makes this place a 10/10.

Everything was excellent! The service was fast and friendly. The music was definitely island themed and upbeat. The food looked just like the pictures and EVERYTHING. WAS. DELICIOUS! I’ve already recommended Manje Caribbean to friends and we shall return. Thank you. That is all.

Absolutely fantastic food! Home flavor like no other restaurant in West Chester. No pretenses——just excellent food! Must try it and enjoy the flavors; it will not disappoint. I had the chicken curry and my wife the pasta with chicken. Two thumbs up and we will be back!

Celebrated Father’s day yesterday and enjoyed the most delicious meal. The owners were welcoming, courteous, and professional. The dining space is beautifully decorated and immaculate. I am Jamaican and my husband is Haitian formerly from Brooklyn, so we know authentic Caribbean food. Service was attentive and efficient. I loved the owner and my husband speaking in their native language of Haiti Now, the food: oxtails tender, griot tender with pikliz delicious, white rice, djon djon, rice n beans well cooked, jerk chicken nice char, soup joumou and beef Bouyon hot and delicious. D&G Ginger beer is my favorite Jamaican soda. We got the family meal 3 apps, 3 entrees, 3 sides. When I retired recently from Chester County Hospital I thought I would never be making the long commute from New London anymore, except for doctors appointments, but I DEFINITELY will be making the 45 minute commute to Manje. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! Can’t wait to return. Trust me when I say BEST CARIBBEAN FOOD in CHESCO, Newark DE, Bear DE, and Wilmington DE. Thank you Manje for making our first dine in experience enjoyable

My wife is from the Dominican Republic and was online looking for a Dominican restaurant near Thorndale. She found Manje Carribean, and it fit the bill. Decided on a Saturday night to go there. What a great decision. The food was beyond excellent. The service was more than adequate considering there was a lot of takeout. We went again the following weekend and another great meal with the waitress being efficient and very friendly. We will try it again this Sat. 11/25/25.
