We hadn’t had Phillipino in awhile and this place sounded interesting. They also had halo halo on the menu. Enjoyed the food we ordered. The soup was flavorful, even the noodles. Hadn’t had the rice porridge dish before and it tasted good also.

Super delicious Filipino food just across from Westfield Southcenter. I was craving some Filipino BBQ but got tires of the dry BBQ pork at Grill City (they used to be super good but gotten worse and worse) and saw this restaurant recommended by Google and decided to give it a try and it was so good. Everything we ordered was crazy delish.
You bis and clean your own table afterwards and utensils and water are self-serve. Plenty of parking when we dined there. A lot of takeout orders too.

Two thumbs up!

I’ve been a customer and normally appreciate the food but lately, the prices went up drastically yet the quality isn’t there anymore. I love their bibingka but I was disappointed that the ones I was given didn’t even have any salted eggs. Also, it’s smaller in size than what I used to buy from them. Not worth the price. I wouldn’t have minded the price if the ingredients are all in it. That’s all

My wife is a great Filipino cook. When she appreciates Filipino restaurant cuisine that means big. We liked everything we ordered at this restaurant. Especially the pork bbq. The Malabon was delicious. And very reasonable pricing. Not sure why it’s only 4 stars. People should patronize this local restaurant versus the corporate Seafood City and the like.

I love this place and have been going here for many years. However, something changed and the food quality just went downhill for me. I ordered lechon kawali, tocino and pancit malabon. The pancit was great. But the lechon kawali and tocino had no flavor at all. The lechon kawali didnt even have a taste to it. Its just like it was just deep fried and in oil and thats it. Not even a pinch of saltiness. The tocino, no sweetness to it. It was just a pork with no flavor. Im sad that the quality went down here. I hope its just this one time and hope it gets better.

Wow! The food made me miss home. The atmosphere is nice and the service is good. They have so many different options on food. Anywhere from lumpia to favorite dishes to dessert.
Today, we got pork tocino with egg, dinaguan, and fresh lumpia. They also give you a small bowl of soup with your meal, which reminded me of sinagang.
Normally, I would get dessert, but the food got me full. Overall, this place is amazing. The vibe was nice, and I can’t wait to come back to try more of their food.

Worth the drive. Menu selection is not as extensive as others but it’s peppered with enough favorites at reasonable prices. I ordered the dinuguan with rice and tokwa baboy (tofu & pork) . Both had the right touch of sour especially the tokwa. Definitely better than Maxim.

Didnt enjoy this very much! Everything seemed slightly under seasoned. Has potential to be really good if the flavors improved!

We were in the area and craving for some Filipino meal. Oliver, who was working behind the counter, was very accommodating and was able to answer all our food queries. We ordered the pansit malabon. Flavor was spot on. It has the essence of the shrimp heads with a hint of citrus. Noodles were al dente. We also got the lechon kawali which was a weekend only item. The skin was absolutely crispy and the meat was succulent. Came with two cups of rice and a steaming bowl of sinigang soup. The dinuguan with rice came with two generous cups of rice. The soupy sauce was thick and creamy, with tender pork ears, meat and fat from the pig’s head. For our taste, it could have been perfect if it had a tiny bit of acidity. Their lumpiang sariwa did not seem to contain any ubod. But the substitution and all the other ingredients still made the flavor and texture complete. It has the sweet peanut sauce, with chopped nuts on top. It had no fresh garlic either, but we thought it was fine without it. Their bibingka was baked on banana leaf. Warm, fluffy and buttery sweet cake. But our order seems to barely have any salted egg, which did not complete the sweet salty experience you would normally get from a proper bibingka.

Better than most Filipino cuisine, small plates, quick, affordable, generous portions.
Ten months later, this is still one of our favorite eateries around Southcenter Mall!
AGAIN AND AGAIN!
Very good bangsilog and langsilog! Congenial service, easy parking.

We use Manila Sunset for party trays for our wedding anniversary party. The food is knockout good. Mike is always very congenial and helped us to carry it out to the car.

I am exercising great self-discipline until our guests arrive. The barbecue portray is sweet and delicious. The Filipino egg rolls are like you don’t want to quit. We know their bebinka and it’s got me drooling.

Thanks again Manila Sunset Team!

RESULTS: the food from Manila Sunset beat out the hot pot HANDS DOWN! Our Chinese friends were new to the bebinka, a baked, egg flavored sticky rice pastry served with grated coconut. They loved it as well as especially the BBQ pork with its sauce.
