Came here when it was Kuyas Casa kitchen and never came back. Heard it had switched owners and decided to try again. It is sooo much better than before. The Mexican food is gone and it’s now authentically Filipino. We got the Pompano and it was so delicious! The Pinakbet was very good topped with Kiwali lechon. We also got the Sisig and it was a little more soupy than I’ve had before but the flavor hit. My only complaint (and I’m mostly joking) is I ordered shoyu (soy sauce) and they brought me Patis (fish sauce) I poured it all over my rice and asked my husband, “what kind of soy sauce looks like that?,” which he replied, “Filipino soy sauce.” I took a big bite and almost gagged. But it was just a misunderstanding/miscommunication and had us both laughing. If it doesn’t look or smell like shoyu then it’s probably not 😉

Ultimately, I would rate this establishment 2 out of 5 stars. Unfortunately, the pancit was a letdown, with a flavor profile akin to wet noodles and a complete lack of seasoning. When I ordered the pork pancit, I was surprised to find that it contained tofu instead of the expected pork. The lady explained that in the Philippines, pork pancit is typically made with tofu and ground pork. This was unexpected, given my experience with Filipino cuisine through family and friends. Although the lumpias were initially enjoyable, some of them developed an unpleasant odor, similar to that of a damp cloth, midway through. The establishment did not offer any compensation for the subpar food. The lady merely offered me fish sauce. Due to the unimpressive flavor and seasoning, I will not be returning. On the other hand, the atmosphere was outstanding, with a clean and well-appointed space adorned with live plants. Nevertheless, the prices were exorbitant, with my meal and lumpias totaling $40.

We had our lunch here. The staff was super friendly and helpful, she gave recommendations on what to order , even customized food based on our request. The food was decent, not too impressive. The fish was too dry.

It was a rainy and windy day and I had a craving for beef bulalo soup. It’s my second time coming here since the ownership change. I was so impressed the last time and wanted to try again to make sure it wasn’t a fluke. The beef soup was delicious and good for two people—perfect for cold and rainy day. My kid got her usual lechon, and I saw that they had pinakbet again so I ordered one to-go (I really loved it the first time). We started with their lumpia Shanghai appetizer and ended with banana turon with lanka (jackfruit) for dessert. The service was attentive and cheerful.
It was more crowded with dine-in customers the last time we visited but with the rain, most of the orders I saw were to-go/online orders. Also, we arrived after 1pm. There’s plenty of parking.
We’ll definitely come back and try the rest of the menu. If you’re looking for authentic Filipino food in Vancouver, this is the place to go.

Authentic Filipino food, very good! Small business locally owned in Vancouver Washington. Comforting to know that the cook is Filipino as well as the server. It’s a must try if you’re craving for Filipino food. My husband enjoyed the fried fish and the fried pork belly was good along with the sauce “yummy.”

Finally, a Filipino spot that just lets the food be Filipino… no “fusion,” no “elevated,” no unnecessary reinvention. Just authentic, comforting dishes done with love. The pinakbet is hearty and deeply flavorful, the sisig is sizzling perfection, and the sinigang hits that perfect sour balance that reminds me of my mom’s recipe. I love diniguan, and their’s is solid. Oh… and order some Turon for dessert. The Halo Halo is good, too.
Honest cooking, good portions, and ample space for family style meals… this place is really good, but there’s always room for improvement. 5 Stars because it’s authentic and rare unless you have Filipino family.
Also, disregard the old reviews when they were a “fusion” restaurant. This place is place is focused on Filipino food now.

I went here with my family for the first time and it was amazing. It’s a cute little spot hidden in Vancouver and serving amazing food. The staff was very friendly and I’m excited to try the rest of the menu. I had the slow roasted pork belly and it was fantastic!

Immediately greeted by a kind lady, when I said we were first timers she even added some extra. We were on the hunt for some good Lumpia and this hit the spot. It was a little smaller in size than what I’m used too but didn’t make a difference! I also tried the Pancit Bihon and I’m obsessed! Planning to go back very soon, my mouth is watering thinking about it!!! Great prices too

Absolutely amazing experience! We had the best Turon in the entire Northwest — perfectly crisp, sweet, and fresh! The Lechon was incredibly tender with that irresistible crunch, and the Calderetta was rich, savory, and full of flavor. Everything came out fresh, hot, and deliciously tasty. You can really taste the care and authenticity in every bite. Manila Couve is a true gem — we’ll definitely be coming back!
