This was our first visit. Really wanted to love this place. The cashier was super helpful. The ambiance was kinda cool. They had alot of people dining there. But, sadly, the food wasn’t great for us. The chicken tenders were strangely overly tender. Like it literally melted or dissolved in our mouths before we even chewed. However the Cajun Love Sandwich had good flavor. But the chicken was so small that it only covered half of the small bun. The home cut shoestring fries were good. The Texas Egg Rolls were the one thing we both liked very much. Hopefully this was just an unusual experience. Because they seem to have a following.

Absolutely amazing experience! Small number of menu options, but what they do, they do RIGHT! The chicken tenders were so juicy, light and crisp. Tempura-ish style batter. The sauces, of which there are *many*, are made in-house and are super creative. The goddess avacado one and the lemon shallot one were super good. I had the lemon shallot on my salad, which, by the way, was also fantastic. Super fresh mixed greens without a hint of preservative flavor at all. The Coyote sauce was my favorite, though. It was so tangy with the citrus-chipolte-honey combo, I would happily use it as an alternative for tomato-less bbq sauce.
Speaking of. I have allergies. SO MANY ALLERGIES. And these guys were so nice about it AND careful. (I highly recommend switching sauteed peppers and onion for the tomatoes on the salad. I was also told the pecans were delicious; I’m so jealous. XD) They even explained the prep process for making my food and told me they had epi pens on standby, just in case. They were so contentious about allergies I was blown away.
The meal was so good I forgot to take pictures until I’d already eaten part of it. Lol!
I am a foodie, and I would 100% make this a regular place if I lived nearby.

Food tastes good. First visit here. Smallest tenders I have ever seen. It looks like the sliced the tenders into four. Go to Canes and tenders are 3 to 4 times the size.

Maniac’s is a hidden gem nestled in Brentwood, TN, known for its mouthwatering chicken dishes. Customers consistently rave about the tender, juicy chicken tenders, perfectly fried to a satisfying crisp. A popular choice, they are accompanied by an array of homemade sauces that elevate the experience, with flavors like ranch and blue cheese being particular favorites.
Many reviewers, like Morgan Kinney and Tiffany Rayborn, praise the restaurant for its friendly service and the cleanliness of the establishment. Kinney described Maniac’s chicken tenders as “probably the best” she’s ever tasted, with rave reviews for the southwest egg rolls that provide a delightful addition to the menu.
What truly sets Maniac’s apart is the commitment to fresh, quality ingredients. Long-time patron Ben Brown notes that their non-chain chicken tenders consistently surpass the competition in Williamson County. The restaurant’s inviting atmosphere and straightforward menu make it a perfect stop for a quick meal or a laid-back lunch, as Tracy Bothwell discovered by chance.
Whether you’re in the mood for a Cajun sandwich or classic fries, Maniac’s promises a delectable experience that leaves customers eager to return. The combination of delicious food, exceptional sauces, and outstanding service creates a dining experience that’s hard to forget.

This place is great for tender chickens and their variety of sauces. We ordered Chicken Tenders and a Cajun Sandwich with various sauces. I loved the sauces and lightly breaded tenders these were amazing and they were soft and juicy.

Skip all the chain chicken tender restaurants and come to this family-owned local chicken tender place where everything is made fresh to order with a fantastic batter on the tenders and fresh cut french fries that are phenomenal! If you don’t want fried, they also have grilled tenders and they also have salads so it’s good for people that are looking for something tasty and “less healthy,” or tasty and “more healthy”

Chicken tenders were pretty awful. VERY small, almost zero seasoning, and the batter was a weird mix of Captain D’s style crunchy batter on top but total mush/soggy on the bottom of the tender. Usually a sauce can save a bad tender, but the two sauces I tried weren’t very good either (though they had other options that may have been better). The fries were greasy and soggy, but noticeably better than their chicken. I’ve had better tenders and fries from fast food restaurants. Would not recommend at all.

Really cozy place, their chicken is phenomenal, battered, so delicious and soft, and the chicken is super moist, I definitely recommend this place, they even have sandwiches, it’s black and chicken, so it’s got great flavor! And their fries are delicious too!
