I found a place.
Everything Bagel. They make their own bagels daily and the sandwhich is only 11 dollars.. better product and better service. Owner at the counter and between the options offered and the Customer Service, this is a must.. Thank you for offering to go to your website Manhattan.. to get free stuff. That was not my purpose.. Enjoy!! This place .. Everything Bagel is also much cleaner.. Manhattan coffee counter is discusting!!!
First, the food – I ordered (1) BEC and (1) PEC on everything bagels. My goodness the bagels are entirely way too covered with seeds. More than any bagel I’ve ever had anywhere, including other locations. The pork roll seems like it’s cheap – but correct me if I’m wrong – I just don’t believe it’s Taylor which is fine but it’s very bland pork roll. Fine I can get over that…. but what I cannot get over is to literally put half a piece of cheese on these sandwiches. All I get in every bite is dry, flavorless egg, barely any taste of pork roll or bacon, and the salty taste of an overpowering bagel. You need to add more cheese and use better pork roll in my opinion.
Second, the service – no one greets you at the counter as I stood there for 3 real time minutes. Then someone greets me and I say I’m picking up my order and give my name. She says the drink is ready and I drink that and stand there for 10 minutes. Then, I literally watch as she realizes my food is and has been ready (it was right next to my drink she grabbed) and she clearly overlooked it. So basically my food and I sat there for 10 mins for apparently no reason lol.
Third, the atmosphere – you need to clean this place. It’s dirty. The ceiling near the vents are chalked with dust buildup. Disgusting. The wood panel where you order can show visible spilllage marks / overall dirty. There is crumbs all over the carpet. Tables have food and crumbs on them. Lastly I’ll say, a middle aged woman who assembles the sandwiches literally coughed and didn’t cover her mouth. That’s what did it for me and why I had to say all this.
Like I said, I don’t usually do this but someone needs to MANAGE this place, the employees, and have an overall wake up call on the quality of food. Take pride in being better and I’ll gladly delete this review.
My photo attached to this review by the way is of a BEC on everything. In my opinion, I know other locations use more than 1 singular slice of cheese. I have been to locations where it’s melting from the sides and it’s amazing. I hope you take these words to heart and I’m not someone just complaining. I’d love for this place to do better.
Today I went inside the shop for coffee. It was spacious with lots of seating and very clean. I ordered coffee from the kiosk, paid, got a cup, then self served from the coffee station. The coffee was very good. The staff was friendly and the restaurant comfortable.
Today I had the egg white, turkey bacon, cheese on bagel thin. It was very good.
Did not want peppers or onions so I chose egg and cheese only. They took that to mean I did not want steak on my CHEESESTEAK so I paid $9 for a disgusting and bland egg and cheese sandwhich.
Each visit two sandwiches and two coffees were ordered; the sandwiches were not made to order each time missing steps such as scooped or toasted. While constructing the sandwiches the employees completed steps intermixed with other sandwiches; cut one bagel in order and place in toaster, put spread on another bagel from a different order, cut bagel from our order, grab a bagel for another order, place cheese on first bagel, place second bagel in toaster. This lead to delays, ordered processed improperly and cold bagels.
Black iced coffees were adequate and enjoyable, but any blended or crafted drinks were over sweetened and watery. Orders picked up at the counter were met with indifference and when we said thank you the only response we have ever received was “uh huh.”
This parking lot and drive through are also dangerous and congested.
Bagels in this area of the state are not the best, but better service and more efficient teams could make up for this. Other than moving the locale is challenging, and a focus on service and product would benefit the company.
We do not recommend this location, but would offer that others may be better suited for the business.
I ask her to look st the board that says 2.00
She gives me a hard time and mumbles something under her breath about the owner.what do you do?
