Overall it was good. Went for lunch. Had the sushi lunch special, pork yakitori, a seared beef specialty roll, and spicy pork dumplings.
The dumplings were tasty but not spicy at all. The pork yakitori was good but not to my personal preference of crispy – it was very moist; my spouse liked it. The sushi quality overall was good but not great. Service was good.

Food was excellent! It was so good I forgot to take a picture of the entree. We had a party of 4 with a reservation. We were seated quickly and served very quickly! Virtually no wait once the food order was placed. I’m not sure how they can get the food out that quickly 🙂
Staff was also friendly and the restaurant has a good atmosphere.

Enjoyed a nice evening at an outside table. Our server Vikki was great. I started out with a 22-43 cocktail which I had never heard of before but I was very intrigued by it being a fan of whiskey. A blend of Woodford Reserve, Brazilian Banana Liqueur, Demerara, and bitters. It was delicious! I was a little nervous about the whiskey and banana flavors together but it’s a great combination. We also ordered the seaweed salad (also a first for me) and the Spicy Pork and Spicy Shrimp Dumplings. They were great although I’m not sure I would consider them to be spicy. I went with the drunken noodle with steak and asked for it to be spicy. I then asked if it was Thai spicy and Nikki asked if I was sure I could handle it. I was sure. That too didn’t really seem spicy to me but it was still great.
I’ll definitely be back here to try some of the other dishes.

The stand-out dish of the evening was definitely the Mangosteen noodle bowl with steak. It was warm, savory, and curry inspired. The edamame and pork dumplings being the runner up. The spider roll was light and paired nicely with noodles.
I thought the Shrimp Skewers could have came with at least 4. It was very loud in the restaurant but we still enjoyed ourselves.

We had a fantastic time visiting Mangosteen! We ordered many appetizers and meals, everything was delicious! I ordered the volcano roll and bang bang shrimp — we had a large party and everyone enjoyed the food! If back in St. Pete, I would return!

I had the Volcano Sushi Roll and it was absolutely fantastic! I’d seen photos and videos online, and it completely lived up to the hype. The flavors were fresh and delicious, and the presentation was beautiful. Plus, it’s both dog- and baby-friendly, which made the experience even better. Highly recommend this spot!

Superb service, accommodating with special requests and scrumptious food with lots of options. They made my sushi using rice paper, as I’m not a fan of Nori. We enjoyed a great family dinner!! Thank you!

The salmon dinner was our favorite. Korean tacos was the same meat in bimbibap, not like the real bulgogi. The meat was slightly drier and chewier than normal, surprised bc a lot of people had good reviews. Beautiful inside setting. Our server was good but the hostess never smiled, as we walked in and was greeted Little bit pricey but very nice atmosphere.
