We had a 6:30 Thursday dinner reservation (recommended)and we arrived earlier to get a cocktail at the bar and walk the beach as sunset. The bartender Kevin made us traditional Rum punch snd was nice to chat with. The owners were available helping hosting and showed us to our table. Our server Kurt was AMAZING! He even gave us a short n sweet lesson on how best to debone and cut into our red snapper fillet so we could easily get to it’s delicious meat! Fantastic ocean view! I was in a dream! Romantic setting for us. Prepare to pay for such wonderful dining but indeed worth it!

If you want to know what Anguilla sounds like, go to Mango’s Seaside Grill on Barnes Bay.

We sat down, and honestly, we didn’t need to talk. The ocean was crashing right onto the sand just feet away, providing a better soundtrack than any Spotify playlist could ever hope to curate. It set the stage for a meal that was less about “eating” and more about “experiencing.”

Here is the play-by-play of a dinner that hit every single note.

The Crunch Factor
We kicked things off with the Conch Salad and a Caesar Salad.
Usually, “salad” is a boring word. Not tonight.

• The Conch: I am convinced this conch was still swimming five minutes before it hit the table. It was so fresh it practically jumped out of the bowl.

• The Texture: Every single bite had an audible, satisfying crunch. Crisp, cold, and clean. It woke up the palate and demanded attention.

The Main Event: Butter Knife Tender
For the entrees, we went for the Crusted Chicken and the Steak.
Let me tell you a story about this chicken. It was so incredibly juicy and tender that—I kid you not—I accidentally cut through it using the back of my butter knife. That is not cooking; that is wizardry.

The steak? Well-tempered and cooked to absolute precision. But the hero was the finishing salt. Big, aggressive chunks of salt that popped on the tongue, turning a great piece of meat into a masterpiece.

The “Secret Menu” Finale (You Need to Copy This)
Now, for the mic drop.
We ordered the Cheesecake. It arrived looking creamy and perfect. But we came prepared with a secret weapon to take it from “great” to “legendary.”
We topped it with Anguilla Sands and Salts Mango Chocolate.

Listen to me closely: This is the hack you need to try. The smooth, rich tang of the cheesecake colliding with the tropical, deep snap of that artisanal Mango Chocolate? It was the perfect end to the night. It tied the whole island experience together—sweet, salty, creamy, and fruity.

The Evidence
I have attached photos of the food in all its glory. I also attached a photo of the empty plate. That isn’t just a dirty dish; it’s a crime scene where no crumb was left behind.

Rating: 12/10. Come for the sound of the waves, stay for the chicken, and bring the chocolate.

We went to Mangos the last night of our vacation and it didn’t disappoint. The service was top notch to go with the excellent food. The owners were on site and shared their experience and time on the island. This would be a great place to catch a sunset. We just missed it.

One word – incredible! Just a short walk down Barnes Bay beach from the Four Seasons. We came here as recommended by many on the island. We had a wonderful conversation with the owner, Kim, and were even more delighted with how good the food and drinks were. A must go if you are on the island!

Easily one of our best meals in Anguilla, this beach-front restaurant does not disappoint. The food was top-notch across the board, but especially recommend the conch chowder, grilled lobster, spicy sea bass, and cheese cake (it’s super light and fluffy!). The wait staff was amazing – our waitress, Andrea, was the absolute best!! The owners are super sweet and the setting is unbeatable – prime beach front.

This was our second meal at Mango’s, our first being in 2023. The owner, Kim, is such a wonderful host and the pride she takes in her establishment is clear. I wish I remembered our server’s name this evening because he was the best one we have had during our visit. He helped my husband get into his delicious lobster and showed him where the roe was. He was so funny and helpful and had memorized the specials flawlessly (and there were several with an extensive list of sides). We were blown away by the service here! It made all others we had on our trip pale although we had many fine experiences! Of course the food was delicious, everything was cooked to perfection down to the perfectly crisp-tender carrots. It may seem silly for me to mention the carrots, but if a restaurant is cooking their vegetables to perfection you can guarantee everything else is going to have flawless attention to detail. I had Triggerfish which had a perfectly balanced and seasoned sauce and came with a delicious rice as a side. The seasoning on the lobster is to die for though, if you want lobster on Anguilla this is my favorite on the island. Hope to see you next year!

Really enjoyed mango’s. Right on the beach, authentic anguillan road to get there (eg bumpy). Andrea (server) fun and helpful. Conch chiwder tasty. Go for the fish specials. Grilled red snapper was fantastic. Sesame red snapper also good. Homemade desserts also very much worth it. Go here!

Met the owners of 30 years and they are the nicest people. Food is a 10. Service is a 10. Ambiance? On the beach in Anguilla! The lobster pasta was next level. A definite MUST GO if you’re on the island.

Open for dinner only. It’s directly on the beach at Barnes Bay on the SW side of the island. Enjoy fine dining with a great selection and excellent food. Reservation is recommended if during the busy season. The road down to the resaurant is a little bumpy, but completely manageable. Owners are great!

Mango’s is a must on the island. I had the brazero lobster and wife had fresh grilled mahi mahi. The conch chowder and lobster cake were delicious starters! Great wine and mango martinis.
