I’ve been sending business out to this place for a few years now . We own two atv and snowmobile rental companies in the county , unfortunately from now on I will stop sending my customers to this place due to what happened to one of my customers on 12/05/25 .
We try for every customer of ours to feel welcomed and to feel comfortable with the rentals and the whole experience, when one of my customers got to the place with his wife and his kid, he got welcomed in a way he wasn’t expecting and he felt profiled .
He was going into the restaurant to eat and one of the guys comes up to them and tells them that they’re closed when they clearly had customers in there eating fries etc…. This came to us as a shock because mangos never made our customers feel very uncomfortable, after they told me that and I seen how bummed out they were , I proceeded to call mangos and try to speak to the owner .
The guy that answered the phone told me that the owner wouldn’t come in until 5 and that he would tell him to give me a call, no call was ever made.
the communication issue to try and resolve this matter was also what took me to my surprise since as a company owner myself the first thing I would do is to try and resolve this issue .

I’ve sent thousands of people to this place to give it business over the years since I do know that it struggles, but never did I think we’d come across this type of issue . It’s truly disappointing and I will no longer be sending my customers out to this place.

If you are exploring the area outside of the ski resorts, stopping in the small mining town of Red Cliffs, population 280, to visit the one restaurant, is worthwhile. Food was really good, the venue is awesome and the town is picturesque. They also run adventure rentals out of there. Across the street is an affordable modern in. Heck, you can even rent an 8 person sauna by the hour in the town.

Hidden gem. Talk about “off the beaten track”….good luck even finding the town of Red Cliff. There’s only one restaurant in the whole town (this is it) and the night we went there were only three items available. BUT we got gigantic double burgers that were delicious and fed us, seriously, for two days. Super nice waitress, unique location and fantastic, flavorful food.

Super friendly staff, took the scenic route before vail exit off the interstate to see back country into Minturn and Red Cliff, nice stop after a fun road. Great patio, multi level historic renovated building. Will return to try a few other things on the menu.

More about the whole place and people than just the tavern (which is pretty sweet: three floors built into the cliffside) but it’s the only place in Colorado that returns the steering wheel hand wave . Lovely, beautiful lady asked if I needed some food for the road just to have if I was hungry, just because she was a good person that treats anyone like an actual human being, sorely lacking in the cities these past 5 years.

Everyone was friendly and kind, and I’m not even the typical looking Coloradoan (I’m ethnically Korean, and proudly rep Wyoming and America). Denver is surprisingly racist; Red Cliff was not at all. Lovely people to talk to and be with – I’m almost afraid to bring attention to it because attention ruins everything.

What an incredible place to stop at while snowmobiling at Vail Pass. We were told to stop here by the USFS, and we were not disappointed. We strolled in on a Monday afternoon and were pleasantly greeted by the wonderful staff.

Once seated, we were served their homemade barbecue chips on the house. The cliff burger was a newly added menu item, and was the best burger I’ve had in quite some time. The chef made an in-house barbecue sauce with a hint of bourbon that complimented the smoked gouda over a perfectly grilled beef patty. And don’t even get me started on this fries. We had both sweet potato fries as well as their home fries, both were exceptionally cooked, seasoned, and fresh.

Everything about this showed that the chef takes pride in his craft.

Unlike other establishments, Mango’s serves genuine coke products.

If you’re snowmobiling in the area, note that they were very accommodating with all of our gear, and provided a self serve water station. This is a must stop spot, if you’re reading this review, look no further.

Size of a smash burger, order of Fries are unique and basically getting a whole potato . Tad bit cold inside but I am from Texas so I am a little warm blooded. Handicap accessible. Recommend to try out when in the area. Scenery inside and outside is really good.

Our snowmobile broke down near Redcliff, and even though Mango’s was closing for the day, the owner let us use his landline and stayed late to let us stay warm while we waited for transport. He is a first class human being, and we’ll definitely be back to support his local business.

Great place, great food. I had the bacon beer cheeseburger. This thing had lots of cheese, the fries were different from what I was used to, but still really good. This was the best pretzel bun I’ve had on a burger overall. Usually they are slightly chewy.

Only thing that perturbed me was their inability to split the check 4 ways, they could only do it “down the middle” which.. if you can do that.. you can split it 4 ways. Come on now. So be aware of that.

But still, 5 stars.

We came here for dinner on a Saturday evening. There was more than an hour before they were supposed to close. When we came in the bartender (who also is the waitstaff and the server?) showed us the menu. We decided what to order, waited twenty minutes for her to get done being the bartender for everyone and we finally went up to the bar to order it. She tells us they already are cleaning the kitchen and the only thing they can offer us is chips and salsa or fish tacos. There are no other places around so we didn’t exactly have a choice. They didn’t think of revising the menu that’s only written on the little board to let the customers know this?! She couldn’t tell us this instead of saying the menu was on the board. Sorry but that’s horrible service and a lousy way to run a business, especially on a Saturday night! Sorry they decided to clean the kitchen more than an hour before they closed, but totally not our problem. There were four other groups that came in with us. The group right before us that ordered literally thirty seconds before us got burgers! This was a first in all the years I have traveled and I definitely would not recommend! Word of mouth is vital for a place in a small town. Do better.
