A Google search for “best chicken Alfredo near me” brought me here. It is my daughter’s favorite and it was her birthday. I went on and on about the stellar gnocchi reviews, I was excited for her to try it, it’s going to be great! So…she got a panini.
That aside, this little gem in downtown Gastonia, did not disappoint! I got a Pesto spaghetti with chicken (I can’t remember the exact title of the dish and can’t find it on the menu – promise I’ll do better – see pictures) that was SO good, noodles perfectly al dente, I’d be hard-pressed not to get it everytime, if I wasn’t so curious to try everything else. Started with the meatballs that I also highly recommend. I’m telling everyone I know and you should try it too. I can’t wait to go again! Gastonia is hit or miss in the restaurant game and this is a hit!
It’s a quaint, little establishment that I imagine fills up fast during their dinner rush, so maybe consider calling a reservation if going around that time. I’m not a professional photographer, but I wanted to include some photos. The meatballs were already almost all the way eaten through by the time I remembered to get the shot.

Manigiamo Restaurant is absolutely amazing! Great Customer Service, we were greeted by the owner as soon as we sat down, and he was very welcoming, humble! (This was something I look for in a fine dining restaurant)
The interior of this restaurant is beautifully decorated, and really brings out the culture of authentic Italian.
The food was fresh, and tastefully amazing, particularly the sauce that comes with the bread.
The servers, as well as the atmosphere is unprecedented that I’ve experienced so far! Will definitely recommend to others! Thank you Mangiamo for an amazing experience!!

Second time eating here. I miss them being in KM! Would love some of their delicious delicious pizza. The food ordered was ok. The salmon dish was flavorful. Spinach a / salty. Salmon was overcooked. That flat bread was a lil burnt. It wasn’t too flavorful. The Arnold Palmer was a bit watery. Prob the tea could have been stronger and sweeter. Would I return? Yes.

Growing up in Italian family that also owned its own deli, plus a few visits to Italy myself, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised to find a high caliber Italian restaurant like this while traveling through Gastonia, NC. It sits pretty unassumingly on their Main Street through town. The service was attentive and outstanding for one, but their traditional take on Italian Wedding Soup had me wondering if I was eating a bowl of pasta or truly enjoying a tomato-based soup. Nonetheless it was hearty and tasty. The lasagna was homemade, not dense, and literally melted in my mouth. The gnocchi, also homemade, was filling and reminded me of Rome. The prices and portions are great. Eat here!

Excellent authentic Italian food. Not only is the food very good, the atmosphere is very NJ/NYC. What I mean is proper customer service and a genuine passion for quality food. There needs to be more restaurants/cafes in Gastonia that offer niche experiences like this one. There are many different people that live in Gastonia. We young professionals needs spaces like this to take this city to the next level. It feels good to know I don’t have to go Charlotte to get exceptional Italian fare. Bravo Chef and staff.

The menu, the flavors, the appetizers, the desserts, the salads are simply delicious. The taste of the sauces are rich and very Italian. The ingredients are fresh. The gelattos are very creamy and delicious. I will definitely come back.

Service was amazing but the food was not. I ordered the chicken rigatoni alfredo. The alfredo sauce was very bland to me. The manager offered to make me something else which was against my better judgment. He said the lasagna would come out quickly and would be an amazing choice . The plate was not appealing at all. Once again against better judgment I tried it. The red sauce had so much salt I would have rather eaten the bland alfredo. Pictured is the “deconstructed lasagna” I received. All I did was slide it off my plate and into this to go container.

I enjoyed the food I received, there are just a few discrepancies I had. The ravioli was just a tad bit raw, but other than that the food was phenomenal and delicious. The portions to price ratio was kinda off to me. The appetizers and the main meal were the same price, also the portion for the app were to small for the price. Then the vibe was interesting with some decor pieces and the music turing on and off. I think the food is delicious with great service, they just need to tweak some stuff.

Our waitress Hanna was amazing. The place was very busy as expected on a Friday night. The Owner was attentive and a delightful host. Hanna recommended the Meatball Pasta in Vodka Sauce for one of us and it was amazing. Someone walked past our table and asked what is THAT…
We said the frckin pasta ever!

Sat outside on a Thursday evening. Service impeccable! Had a wonderful caprice type salad to share and then Tony offered to create an octopus scallop shrimp dish to share! It was the most delicious thing I have eaten in a while! Afterwards we ordered the freshly made pasta for “dinner”. We asked him basically to bring us something delicious! He complied. Wine was great as well as the bread service. Of course the meal ended with complimentary cannolis!
