My husband found this place via TikTok and immediately we knew we had to try it. The food from start to finish was phenomenal and you can tell the quality means everything to them.
My 4 year old got a square Sicilian slice that was huge and amazingly enough she ate almost the entire piece, which is a rarity for her! The crust was perfectly crisp, but was chewy and the sauce was perfectly balanced.
My husband and I shared the Mediterranean salad and the garlic knot vodka chicken sandwich (literally the whole reason we were there). We were speechless when they brought it out and there are no words to sufficiently describe how good this sandwich was. The garlic knot itself was soft and full of garlic, the chicken sluced thin and cooked perfectly, and covered in cheese and vodka sauce. Definitely a multi-napkin sandwich!
We also got dessert there, my daughter got a mixed berry Gelato and my husband and I shared the chocolate peanut butter Gelato cake. Again, everything was fantastic!

I ordered the Garlic Knot Chicken Ceasar Salad sandwich. The chicken is more like a thin chicken cutlet, Not a thick chicken breast meat. The garlic not was crispy not what I was expecting. I expected the garlic knot to be soft baked like the actual garlic knots. It was okay, I ate half there and took the other half to go.

Clean shop with delicious bites. You can tell owner really knows his stuff and is always thinking of a new way to jazz up already good food. Got lunch here for 5 and was not disappointed. The vodka parm garlic knot sandwich was so tasty we forgot to take a pic. Mac and cheese bites and pepperoni pizza the kids liked a lot. Slices were large!

The atmosphere was clean and open. Service was OK I like to see employees happy to greet people who spend money and patronize their business. I was not initially greeted when I walked in. The food was great I had the garlic knot buffalo sandwich. The chicken was so thin, tender, and perfectly cooked. The bread i would prefer light airy and crispy to go with the thinly sliced chicken breast for a better bite consistency. Otherwise everything was delicious as far as flavor.

Pizza – wasn’t a huge fan, floppy – no undercarriage. Typical pizza served in the area, by no means a North Jersey/NY slice.
Pasta Dishes…
Chicken Piccata was absolutely delicious, that’s the gem of the menu! Wish they increased the portion of the pasta. Overall great dish!!
The chicken parm was good, chicken was perfectly crispy – only thing is the sauce is very acidic. This had a good portion food!
Overall great looking restaurant , the staff is friendly, place is kept clean!
Would absolutely recommend/ return!!

Our first time trying the pizza at Mangia Trattoria. We got a large Trenton Tomato Pie w/o basil. The dough was fantastic! Light, with a good wheat flavor! Very crisp crust, but a bit too thick for a Trenton style tomato pie. More along the lines of a traditional pizza. Perfect amount of cheese and a good, sweet sauce with chunks of tomato! The one and only drawback was the overabundance of garlic in the sauce. It seemed to take away from the sweetness of the sauce, which I personally did not care for.
Overall, a good pie that I’d recommend giving a try!

We ordered pizza from here today. A large pie and gluten free pie. I’ll be honest, at first site of my gluten free pie I was skeptical, but wow was it delicious! Quick and friendly service.
Update 9/26- today I ordered the. Gluten free pasta with vodka sauce, chicken, and broccoli. It also came with a side salad. Absolutely delicious and fresh.

We ordered a chicken caesar garlic knot sandwich and received what im assuming is a penne alla vodka chicken garlic knot sandwich im so disappointed. The garlic knot sandwich doesnt have any seasoning and is bland, its just bread no garlic no butter. The fried calamari is disgusting, chewy, and inedible. Very disappointed this place is terrible.
