Took my family there on a Sunday at noon. The restaurant itself looks very old and outdated. The tortellini soup was gross and bland.. I think they put canned tomatoes and frozen spinach in it.. broth had zero flavor and no amount of salt and pepper could help it. Cheesesteak was edible and I was starving. I then tasted my wife’s chicken Alfredo which was chunky, not creamy. The chicken was like rubber and the noodles tasted like burnt water.. I don’t know how else to describe it.. foul.. my son’s seafood Alfredo was the same. I spit the scallop that I tried out onto my plate(tasted like it was sitting in water for a few days). My wife or myself have never returned food in any restaurant in our lives.. we did today and the manager was nice enough to comp her meal so we just added it to the servers tip (she and the staff were great btw). Will never go back.. 1/10 never smash again

Although the decor is a bit dated, I have yet to be disappointed by their menu selections, nor the quality of the food.
I’ve been to this venue several times but never commented.
Be certain to tip your waitresses according to their service skills, not their personality or linguistic skills (fyi).

One of my favorite Italian restaurants to go to for a quick, basic but delicious meal. My 96 year old first generation Italian dad loves this place too. We usually try to go before 4 PM to beat the crowds and still get the lunch menu which is more than ample.

My second trip there eating inside. First of all I have to definitely recommend their pizzas. They’re amazing. They are really good that’s what brings me back to this restaurant I think also, I believe what brings me back to this restaurant is their selection of food on their menu, as well as the prices I went yesterday for lunch and I had ordered spaghetti and meatballs with a side of sausage, I had a glass of red Merlot, and I even got a pizza to go. The spaghetti and the meatballs came with a side salad that was very good nicely portioned Altogether cost me under 40 bucks. Where can you go to have a nice glass of wine with your lunch for five bucks a glass?? Unbelievable isn’t it? I think everybody should go there for that. Particularly! It was nice and quiet when I went. My server was wonderful. They’re very adamant to get back to you and making sure that you’re satisfied. If you’re looking for a great date place with your new prospective person, I would totally recommend this restaurant. It will not drain your wallets. You have a nice quiet atmosphere, and I’m sure that everybody will leave satisfied the lunch portion was big enough to fill me up and it would fill most people up unless you haven’t eaten for days then I would get the dinner portion. . Definitely get a pizza before you leave. Take it home you won’t regret it. If there’s anything on your pizza that doesn’t look like they put enough on just ask them look at the PIZZA in the picture that I posted I asked for a couple more mushrooms and they put some more on … the best mushroom cheese, sausage, pepperoni pizza I’ve ever had in my lifetime. This place used to be great, but has drastically gone down hill the last few years to dive food. Their wedding soup is all onion and celery, and their entrees are bland crap. No pride in the food whatsoever anymore. I don’t even know what it is I got served today… was supposed to be Chicken Marsala but no sauce, no flavor, rubber chicken. Just nasty crap.

A friend and I ate lunch at Mangia Mangia for the first time. It was awesome. I had AYCE fish fry and the portion was huge, no need for seconds .I had coleslaw and clam chowder, best I’ve ever tasted. My friend had the Chicken Madison , pasta and the clam chowder. She agreed about the clam chowder. Service was excellent and fairly priced. We live in Avon Lake, but definitely will plan to be back. Thank you for the experience.
