We are from out of town visiting. Found this place on Google maps and so glad we did. The staff Ashley suggested the pasta with sugo and meatballs which was to die for. So good and fresh. And the Italian Deli salad was a good salad and refreshing. The staff was friendly and the service was really fast. They even had single plain meatballs I could get my 11mo. Ashley brought us fresh bread which was good and helpful to get up all the great sauce left in the bowel from the pasta. This is a place if I was a local I would eat at all the time. When we are back in town we will be eating here to try more things as the other pastas and pizza looked amazing as well.

First timer and let me just say how amazing of an experience we had. It’s a “hidden gem” that we just happened to fall upon when we searches for nearby restaurants in maps on our phone. We saw the reviews and thought we would give it a try. As we arrived the parking lot was full, drive thru had cars also, so it was a good sign. We waited 5 minutes for a table to open up. A woman sat us, and asked if we had been there before, when we said we hadn’t, she told me top choices and how to order at the counter when ready. We got the cheese bread which came with three large pieces on what seemed to be a homemade bread and it was amazing. My daughter and I always rate our food and it was an 8.7. Then we ordered the cheese tortellini with Alfredo and chicken and the cheese tortellini with marinara. Oh my goodness, I felt like I stepped into Italy for an hour. We rated them 9.7. The inside gives the feel of a “dive” but the service was above and beyond and the food was impeccable. We will definitely be back but I always want to review places that are above and beyond expectations. Highly recommend!

Best lasagna I’ve ever tasted! It was great food at a very reasonable price.

The food was amazing. It’s a small shop but punches well outside of it’s weight class in food quality. I’ve heard of this place for years but never tried it until today…… What a mistake that was. My girlfriend had the gluten free pizza (allergy) and said the crust was amazing. She normally gets “glutened” at gluten free places like a single pasta noodle or things fried in the same fryer as breaded item. She said the quality was exceptional and she didn’t have any gluten symptoms. That’s an amazing feat at an Italian restaurant. I had the cheese tortellini with shrimp and it was some of if not the best Alfredo in Omaha. It’s not often anymore I get a real Italian meal anymore.

5 stars with some reservation. I ordered the chicken alfredo pasta (pictured) to go. Good amount of sauce (some may think too much, but I like it saucy as long as it tastes good). That’s a go to dish for me and most places have a generic boring sauce, this place didn’t. Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t amazeballs, but it’s better than most I’ve had in Omaha. The reservation of the 5 star is just based on a few factors…the inside is a bit weird. From what I understand, you order your food at the counter then go sit down, so ask how it works if you plan on eating there. The parking is literally right off the street, so if you get a huge truck on one side, vision is bad when backing up. It’s not quick food, but that isn’t a bad thing at all, just be prepared. Service was good, they seemed nice. OH, and just pay attention to the days they are closed. Looks like every Sunday and Monday they are closed. Again, not a bad thing, just be aware.

I have been meaning to try this place for years and finally did!
I arrived around 1130 on a Saturday and there was plenty of parking. (It’s a small lot) When I went inside it was very small & I did not see any seating so thought it was take out only, but one of the girls behind the counter asked if anyone in line was dinning in and gave us menus and directed us to where the seating was.
It is a very small dinning area – one table for 6, 4 tables of 4, and then 2 booths (maybe 3) that could hold 4-8 depending on size and comfort of how close you want to be to others in your group. (Tables cannot be moved together to accommodate larger groups due to fire code! Don’t be mad at the nice staff for this) There is also an outdoor area, but I did not venture there due to it being cold, but from inside it looked pretty!
The food did not take too long at all to receive. The appetizers were huge and nothing short of amazing! I got the bruschetta and spinach artichoke dip…this was a lot for 2 & half ended up coming home.
For the main meals, bow tie pesto with a meatball side and bow tie chicken marinara. Again….both of these meals were amazing! I loved that the chicken was cut up in bite sized pieces in my meal and not a big hunk or large slices. The meatball on the side was huge!
Staff was extremely kind, polite, and friendly. I highly recommend this place – even if it’s just take out, you will be impressed and enjoy it just as much!!

Absolutely perfect Italian food. My 1st experience was at an event which was catered by Mangia Italia, and it was incredible. My next experience was with 5 people, all ordering different things and appetizers, and every item was delicious. The staff is overly helpful and patient with new people on what they should order, answering all of our questions and explaining each item we asked about. I loved everything about this restaurant, and I highly recommend you try it.

We’re from CB but we’ll make the trip over for about any catering we would need.. These guys nail it every time! Lasagna is always on the list and then we either order the pesto / pasta or baked ziti.. Job well done Mangia!

Big portions for a good price! Order and pay at the counter and then find your seat. The place is small but also has patio seating. We enjoyed the oven baked chicken fettuccine Alfredo and the lasagna. The Sugo sauce is a good mix of sweet and tangy.

Mangia Italiana is easily one of Omaha’s best hidden gems for authentic Italian food. Everything tastes homemade — from the sauces to the bread — and you can tell they take pride in what they serve. The pasta is always cooked perfectly, portions are generous, and the flavors are rich and comforting.

The staff are friendly, attentive, and make you feel like family. Whether you’re craving pizza, pasta, or a hearty Italian sandwich, you really can’t go wrong here. My only disappointment is the limited seating and hours. I hope one day they will expand, their food is certainly worth it.
