Mangia e Bevi was a last minute decision on a Saturday night, and what a great experience it was!
The cocktails were perfect! I’m always amazed at how many restaurants can’t serve a good cocktail, this place got it right!
It was hard to make a decision from the extensive menu, everything looked delicious. There were two of us and we split three appetizers. We started with the short rib filled rice ball special. Oh my goodness, there was an avalanche of tender, shredded short rib when we cut into the giant rice ball. Then it was topped with marinara sauce and cheese. This appetizer special is by far one of the top three things I’ve eaten in a while.
Then we shared the colossal shrimp, scampi style. This scampi style dish was served with a touch of tomato sauce for color. The presentation of the colossal shrimp was impressive with huge slices of roasted garlic in the sauce. I couldn’t even finish one shrimp the were so big, ☺️
Next was the crispy egg plant Parmesan. Layered perfectly with the just right amount of sauce and cheese, each bit was a soft gentle bite into a fabulous egg plant Parmesan. This was in a light pink sauce.
The portions, especially for appetizer portions, are quite generous. We had more than half the food left to take home for tomorrow. But let me be clear… the first dish out, the short rib stuffed rice ball, was completely gone and the plate was wiped clean!
The Valpolicella was a perfect wine pairing
to this meal and I highly recommend it.
I can’t forget the service! It was spot on from our server David to the managers that circulated and did table touches.
We are thrilled to have found a great restaurant in Massapequa. MB will definitely be part of our restaurant rotation and we can’t wait to go back. I’m dreaming about the escarole and beans that I saw on the menu, a simple dish that tastes so good, but you don’t find on many restaurant menus. MB seems like it would be a great venue to host you next event!

Last weekend me and my husband realized we desperately needed a date night. Sent the baby off the grandmas and we made reservations at Mangia Bevi. We had looked at menus for restaurant week and theirs had everything we were looking for, plus once i saw they had fresh octopus carpaccio i knew my husband would want to go. And listen, even if octopus isn’t your thing, just know, if it’s made right then the place is GOOD and he LOVED it. I got the tuna crudo, and let me tell you. It was SO dang good. The slices of orange, olives, toasted pine nuts, and roasted capers, plus the tuna was so fresh it was delicious. For our mains, i got the squid ink pasta with shrimp and calamari, my husband got the snapper. Sometimes i get nervous to order red sauce at an Italian place. All of times i find it thin and lacking taste but not this one. This was spicy but not overpowering and flavorful. Just SO good and the pasta you can tell was homemade and colossal shrimp. I just can’t say enough good things. Can you tell I enjoyed my meal??? Because i really did. We ended wit the Crem brûlée chesecake which we both scraped out of our plates. Honestly this place is a really good spot that we will be coming back to.

We had an incredible experience dining here during Restaurant Week! The drinks were absolutely amazing, perfectly crafted and a great complement to the meal. Service was top notch from start to finish, and our server, Carmela, was outstanding attentive, friendly, and really made the experience even better.
We ordered off the Restaurant Week menu and started with the meatballs and tuna appetizers, both delicious and full of flavor. For our main courses, we had the sausage and rigatoni as well as the short rib pasta, and both dishes were excellent, rich, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection. We finished with the pumpkin cheesecake, which was the perfect ending to an amazing meal.
The atmosphere was definitely different than we expected, a lively vibe with a DJ that added a fun twist to the dining experience. It gave the restaurant a great energy that made the night even more enjoyable.
We can’t wait to go back!

This was NOT the place to celebrate Valentine’s Day. No happy Valentine’s Day greeting from the greeter, not a single decoration for the occasion, not a special menu item for your palate, zip zero-nada! It was just another day at Mangia.
The food was average at best which was very disappointing after reading so many great reviews. On a positive note our waiter was amazing and the drinks were decent. The ladies room is immaculate. Unfortunately one and done for this spot for me. Simply over rated. Cheers to our next adventure

From start to finish, this Italian restaurant blew me away! The food was beyond amazing every dish was full of authentic flavor and cooked to perfection. The drinks were crafted beautifully and paired perfectly with the meal. And dessert? Simply divine! each bite felt like a little piece of heaven.
What truly made the night special was the staff and chef Luis. Every single person was warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. The chef even came out to greet us, which made the experience feel personal and unforgettable. Debbie the manager was so sweet and made sure we were good. They check on you, but not in an annoying way.
You can tell this place takes pride in every detail from the atmosphere to the last spoonful of dessert. If you love great Italian food, this is a must visit. I can’t wait to come back! Also vegetarian friendly!

Warm & friendly local, excellent, attentive service and well-made, flavorful menu items. Decided to try after we saw actor/rapper Ice-T was a recent guest. The complimentary bread basket had a nice selection of warm focaccia squares topped with San Marzano tomato, sliced olive and crisp flatbread. We started with a bottle of Chianti and a piping-hot bowl of Stracciatella, a perfect combination of comforting chicken broth, fresh spinach & egg followed by Clams Casino topped with pancetta, roasted peppers, garlic and panko crumbs. Mains were Penne Bolognese and Short Rib pasta, both were cooked to a nice chew and had a great depth of meaty flavors.

Amazing place! Food was outstanding, service was extremely friendly and fast (thank you Carmela). The restaurant had unmatched cleanliness and the drinks were excellent. There was not one area that was missed. Owner and his wife greeted us, which is always a warm and inviting touch. Mangia y Bevi knocked it out of the park and my wife and I can’t wait to go back. 10/10!

Found this restaurant last minute and made a reservation immediately after seeing the online photos. Upon arrival we found parking very easily in the parking lot located in the back of the restaurant. We later found out there is valet parking. We were seated immediately and everything was great from there. The restaurant is beautiful to say the least. Very classy and the staff was very welcoming. We were seated by the wall of wine which ultimately made us choose wine (the best decision we made). We had cocktails, appetizers, entrees and dessert. Highly recommend the pesto pasta! All the pasta is homemade. The service was amazing. Our server was Carmella and she was sweet, professional and very helpful in helping us choose our meals. Highly recommend and will 100% be returning.

It’s truly a pleasure to find such an exceptional restaurant. The atmosphere it creates is simply delightful and inviting to all guests. On May 31st I had my daughter’s bridal shower at Mangia e Bevi and all I can say it was FABULOUS! Everyone continues to comment on how it was the best bridal shower they ever attended and I owe it all to Stacy, the owner. Right from the beginning in signing the contract I knew I found the perfect place. Stacy was friendly and always available to answer any questions and give guidance and support to a very nervous mom. The decor is was what drew me to the redtuarant but the outstanding Italian food, staff and attentiveness is what helped me make the easist decision in booking her shower. Our servers Carmen and Debbie were by far the friendliness and most attentive. I will definitely be booking another bridal shower early 2026. A heartfelt thank you to Stacy, Mike, Carmen and Debbie for providing an event my daughter will remember for a lifetime
