This place was like a piece of home. From the time I walked through the door, Miss Lily made us feel like we were family not just patrons. She was a great waitress as well as a host. The food was great and I’m glad we stumbled across the gem of a Mom & Pop establishment. I highly recommend you give a try, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

This was my second time stopping in, and both visits have been great. The portions are generous, the flavors are spot-on, and the atmosphere is super chill—small diner vibes in the best possible way. The food and drink menu isn’t overly fancy, but it offers plenty of options for everyone, and I doubt there’s anything on it that isn’t good.

A wonderful little cafe offering DELICIOUS meals that will put a smile on your face before you taste the first bite.
We came here for breakfast, as we wanted something not in the busy downtown/port area, and there was easy parking and clear signage. We were seated immediately and everything on the menu looked so good. My food was so fresh and full of flavor- just what I needed to start a wonderful scenic adventure day.

If you haven’t been to Mandy & Matt’s Cafe at 1160 Forest Ave in Portland, you’re missing out!
I stopped in for breakfast today after a photo shoot and had one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time — a delicious Belgian waffle with bacon, eggs, home fries, and a hot cup of coffee that hit the spot perfectly.
Everything was cooked just right and came out fast, hot, and fresh.
I highly recommend Mandy & Matt’s Cafe!!

This new hidden gem is one of Portland’s best places for breakfast, brunch and lunch! Newly decorated with a bright and cheery decor it offers a good sized menu of omelets, scrambles, breakfast sandwiches and burgers plus specials like beef stew and soups. Great mimosas and reasonable prices! There’s also a big bar for solo dining and free parking.

I had the honor of attending their soft opening and let me just say the food is on point! Fresh and flavorful with a nice selection of whatever you may be craving. I had the sausage gravy and biscuits. My wife had the Benedict. A friend had the Greek breakfast bowl with steak (gonna be my choice next time). It’s a welcome addition to the neighborhood and we’ll be back for sure! Good luck and congratulations to the new owners!

Stopped by for a late breakfast. Restaurant is cozy and bright. Extensive menu. Ordered a “California” eggs benedict with was excellent. My breakfast partner ordered an omelet with home fries and toast. We both had coffee and tomato juice. Service was quick and friendly. This was our first visit and will definitely be back again

My friend and I discovered this cafe on Sat. and we delighted by it. The space is charming, the service was warm, friendly and responsive. And oh, the food!!!! My friend had an enormous omelet with deep fried potatoes and delicious toast. She took half of it home! I had eggs Benedict and perfect hash browns. It was divine. And as it was Valentine’s Day they presented us each with a chocolate!
And for all this delightfulness we were really pleased by how reasonable the meals were.
Mandy and Matt’s is a sweet gem of a place. I’ll absolutely be back! Thank you, Mandy and Matt’s!

Great people great spot!! Central location in Portland, delicious food and drinks, great brunch spot, with home style cooking. I was so happy to find biscuits and gravy as an option, it’s a favorite southern comfort! It did not disappoint, and was absolutely delicious. I also tried the grilled coffee cake muffin oh maaaan, I can attest that Amanda makes the best muffins around, and they grill them with butter here…to die for!! The Dole whip mimosa was different light and delicious. Will definitely be back! It’s so good!
