This restaurant is excellent. Not a traditional place, you get a menu and order your food at a counter then the food is delivered to your table. We loved that they had gluten free noodles and pizza. We ordered the gf chicken frettichini was excellent. Pizza is all one size which feeds 2 to 3 people. They also have a full size bar. You do have to get your own drinks. They also have a great desert bar. It is very family friendly and clean. Very friendly atmosphere we are sure to make this our regular place. They also serve you fresh bread with oil.

As an Italian with parents who are amazing cooks, this place is top notch! Don’t let the walk up and order concept detour you, it’s full service once you get to the table and open kitchen with everything made from scratch in house. We got the chicken piccata, caprese salad, and lasagna bolognese and all were delicious. After we also got thumb cookies and a cannoli and all were 5 star! The staff were all so kind and attentive, you will not be disappointed. We will definitely be back for a marg pizza next time!

I would absolutely drive 50 minutes (one-way) all over again—just for Mandola’s Italian Cream Cake and their out-of-this-world minestrone soup. The soup was so hearty and loaded with veggies that I was practically eating it with a fork—pure flavor and comfort in every bite!

My wife and I were thinking of the many places we could have a relaxing Sunday late afternoon lunch that wasn’t too expensive/upscale but didn’t quite want a fast food restaurant – Mandola’s was the answer! Fresh, hand made Italian food, wine, and pick-your-own table (with table service once sat) was the perfect blend of great food vs value. Our server, Autumn, was extremely friendly and attentive – we loved our experience and will be back many times!

We walked into Piccolo Bucco on a Saturday night and they told us that they couldn’t take walk ins and my wife wanted pizza so I looked for the nearest pizza places and there are a handful within a mile from this location but this place is a MUST visit!!!
Pizza selections for all palates, pasta dishes that looked yummy! They have a coffee shop inside this place that serves all of the Italian favorites from coffees, amazing cakes and homemade gelato!!!
The decoration is cool! Bunch of different serie A team flags (soccer teams) and I always like open kitchens as it has to be kept clean!
Glad we found this spot! Will be back with family

I first tried Mendola’s in January while visiting Tampa. It was fabulous, so I brought my family and friends there. We all loved it. The cannoli (Thursday special) was a taste of heaven! The eggplant parmesan was just right: not too firm, not too mushy. We shared a salad and a bottle of wine. It felt like being in a trattoria in Italy. Followed dinner with some dolce treats from the in-house bakery and Gelato. We had a perfect evening, and so will you.

This is the perfect place to get authentic, delicious Italian food and desserts! It’s out new favorite place for Italian here in Tampa! We loved the spacious dining and counter style ordering. We were greeted immediately when we walked in. Autumn was so kind and helpful, she really made our first visit memorable. You order at the counter, then an amazing home cooked meal is brought to your table. We absolutely love this modern, counter culture style dining. It’s faster, more efficient and convenient. There’s a separate counter for gelato and other freshly made sweets like cannolli’s and cakes. Everything we tried was fire! The pasta was freshly made and perfectly cooked. All meals include complimentary focaccia and seasoned olive oil for dipping. We wish we had tried Mandola’s sooner, but we’ll definitely be regulars there now.

We stopped here by chance, but will definitely be back on purpose soon. We were treated like royalty by everyone in the restaurant! It’s a self service/ table service hybrid and we loved it. The food is excellent! My wife’s chicken piccata was LOADED with capers!!! My eggplant Parmesan was perfectly done. Fresh baked focaccia and olive oil when you sit down and top notch service too boot. A full bar up front and don’t skip out on the gelato and bakery items. It didn’t break the bank and we had leftovers to take home. HIGHLY recommend!!! Thanks to Autumn, Brady, Erin and Chase it would not have been as good without you folks. —Brian & Tracie
