Tried Mandola’s Italian Kitchen for lunch and overall, it’s a strong showing.
Started with the fried mozzarella really good. You can actually taste the freshness, which matters. Not greasy, not rubbery. Solid opener.
The meatballs were the one miss. Slightly undercooked, which isn’t typical for a beef/pork blend. The sauce itself is good quality, just a little bland for my personal taste. That said, it’s pretty clear they cater more toward an older crowd flavor-wise. I’m 41 and was by far the youngest person in the place at lunch so that tracks.
Now the lasagna… absolute redemption. Rich, balanced, comforting, and done right. I’ll 100% be ordering that again.
Overall, this is a 4.5 out of 5 for me and honestly, it’s this close to a 5. Great food, consistent quality, just needs a touch more seasoning punch to really knock it out of the park.
Would recommend especially if you’re craving classic Italian comfort done well.
PS: On the way out they caught me with a Captain Crunch gelato and… yeah. Mind-blowing. Do not skip it.

True authentic Italian food! I have been seeing this place for a while and wanted to try it out so I decided to try it New Year’s Eve for takeout and it was excellent! I’m not sure if the chef’s in the kitchen or are Italian or not but they have those recipes down pet lol. Being Italian I really appreciated the joy of having real Italian food, including desserts! The chocolate cake was amazing! And the tiramisu was different, but it was actually very good!
Next time I want to try dining in, but I am sure the food will be just as good as it was for takeout. The weight was only about 15 minutes for me to get my food once I called it in which was to be expected since it was New Year’s Eve.
The scene is like a regular restaurant seating with tables for any size party as well as our area too!

What a gem of an Italian restaurant in the Lutz/Odessa area. Friendly staff, quick service, clean atmosphere. The food was phenomenal, my husband had the shrimp scampi special with Alfredo sauce and I had the chicken menechino. Both were off the charts with flavor and presentation. We had the honor of meeting Trina, one of the owners and had amazing conversation with her table side. The night was finished with a delectable cheesecake with a tart cherry compote that Trina selected for us. We can not wait to come again and bring friends!

I was not thrilled with their ordering setup. You must stand , look at the menu, go to a counter and place your orders . A server does brings your food to your table.
We sat at the bar and had a superb time.. Holly too great care of us. She was personable, eager to speak about menu choices and was very attentive. We ordered a delicious panini and chicken parmigiana. We share a chocolate martini. Wow. It was delicious. I will go back because the food and service was terrific.

We had a wonderful meal and a wonderful time. The manager came over to introduce herself to us. All in all a perfect dinner, HOWEVER, we go often to Carrabba’s in Wesley Chapel, and i was comparing the food, price, atmosphre etc, and I must say, at Carrabba’s we always have some food to take home. The portions at Mandola’s was good, but price wise its a toss up, when I can get an extra meal to take home as a leftover.

We went around 4pm on Friday after shopping at the outlets. The restaurant was very nicely decorated and inviting. It happened to be happy hour. So we ended up getting 2 personal pizzas. I had sausage and Spinach with a fountain drink. They have a nice selection of drinks that you can serve yourself. My wife had mushrooms, artichoke and pancetta with a draft beer. Our meals were just under $30 with a the tip. They have an open kitchen so we could see the chef Jose making our pizzas and putting them in the oven. The staff was awesome and we were there before the dinner rush so they were very attentive. We really enjoyed our pizzas. We also shared a pistachio gelato for dessert and that was amazing. We also really liked the atmosphere and the restroom are well set up for all your child changing needs which we thought was a unique touch. We will definitely be back to try some entrees.

This was our first time and last time here.. the best part was the free bread. The salads were salty, not appetizing and the “Margarita Pizza” was truly a joke… it was a thin piece of bread with dried red sauce and burnt crust. My husband was just hungry so he ate what he could. Go get one from Aldi for $4 and you’ll have better flavor. Will not return

Different. We were greeted by the manager who quickly explained after we informed him that this was our first time to visit, of how to order and what the specialties of the day were.

The food was really good and it came out quickly, but you do have to get your own drinks and condiments. Overall, we enjoyed our meal.

There is a separate gelato shop, but it’s a bit on the pricey side but in fairness, good gelato is probably worth it.
