Service was very good. Bar staff were great. Unfortunately the food was terrible. Shrimp creole had no flavor and bordered on being a can of tomato sauce. Eggplant creole was a smush glob of stuffing with no taste. The buster crab remoulade was just OK…almost seemed like Thousand Island dressing poured on top of deep fried soft shell crab. Everything needed salt and seasoning. Sad for a city known for its flavorful food.

Mandina’s will always be one of my favorite New Orleans restaurants! The gumbo tastes exactly the same as it did when I first started eating there back in 1995 — rich, flavorful, and full of memories. I also love their po’boys and daily specials. Great food, great people, and that timeless New Orleans charm that keeps me coming back!

I really wanted to love this place! I have been waiting years to eat here & finally made it happen on my most recent trip to New Orleans. While the food was just okay, their service left a lot to be desired. There was no greeting from our sever or mention of any specials. Everyone in our group of four commented that the server clearly didn’t want to be at work or waiting on our table. We asked the server to help us pick between two appetizers (crab fingers or shrimp remoulade). She recommend the most expensive appetizer which is a $30 sampler platter. This platter doesn’t include either appetizers we were interested in so this really made no sense & just felt like a poor attempt at upselling. The server kept disappearing for 15-20 minutes at a time which made it very hard to get refills or to pay our bill once it was time to leave. For all the great food options in New Orleans, I sadly won’t be returning here in the future. The prices are too high to receive subpar service.

Delicious shrimp creole, gumbo, fresh garden salad, great cocktail and tartar sauce, and blue cheese dressing. Great portion size for the appetizer sampler, we got oyster, shrimp and onion rings. Great service!

Me and my friends came through town and stopped at this adorable little restaurant. The atmosphere here is so soft and comforting, and the service is amazing. We’ve went to quite a few food spots around town but absolutely nothing beats this. My friends have a few food allergies but they were so patient and quick to accommodate. I had the veal parm and spaghetti and I was absolutely in heaven. I will absolutely be back!

Five stars all round. Food really good and service excellent. We are over from UK and this place is a destination to visit. We were served by Daela, she is a credit to the restaurant. Very polite and gave good service. Cocktails reasonable and authentic too.

Food was good, you get alot for your money but the fried chicken wasn’t season that’s why it got 4 stars for that. The shrimp, onion rings and bread was delicious. The service was okay the server wasn’t attentive to us at all, we never got refills to go boxes our check or anything. We had to ask Byron if we could get our check. BTW Byron is amazing just seeing him in action and how attentive he was to all tables and guest as he was doing walk thrus and cleaning things was amazing. The atmosphere was great I would return for food again when I’m in New Orleans.
