Very delicious, will definitely visit again! I got the smothered pork steak, mac and cheese, green beans, and dressing and cornbread. My daughter got fried chicken wings, garlic mashed potatoes, yams, and Mac and cheese and cornbread. For dessert we got banana pudding and pound cake. Everything was hot, fresh, seasoned, and service was great. The only suggestions I would make, coming from someone that cooks, less nutmeg in yams, a little less garlic and more butter in mashed potatoes, and the green beans has a glory green taste, would recommend southern green beans without vinegar but with BACON GREASE lol. Banana pudding was DELICIOUS.

Pleasantly surprised to find this little gem. The chef and employees were friendly and provided menu suggestions. The building is cute, quaint, clean and very nicely decorated. But the food!! Omg, Soooo good. I will definitely enjoy food from here again.

My first & last time. The chicken was old the stuffing / supposed to be dressing was salty, the green beans not sure what they tried . Only thing was ok was the yams that’s it that’s all. You expect to pay for soul food but for it to be Nasty is a no for me!!! Customer service was excellent and for you to have just open the food was not hot nor fresh @ all.. I don’t recommend especially if you have a craving for some good old soul food. Really home I don’t get sick from the chicken. As a black own establishment you know yo chicken has to be on point period. I really don’t understand how you let food come from your place of business seal & stamp with your name on it. Please do better because I’m so disappointed 24$ for left and overs..

The food was absolutely horrible, very salty and small amounts for that price. Complete rip off!!! Im very upset. I paid 65 dollars for nothing. I literally threw they entire family meal away in the garbage. All that salt will kill you. No soul behind this food. It’s nasty. The chicken was old and refried. Everything taste like its out of a box and not made fresh with fresh ingredients. They call thier stuffing dressing which is terribly salty. I had a rib tip plate that was almost $30 with only 5 rib tips. The macaroni…..omg i don’t even know what to say . First and last time

My personal opinion is this place is over priced and the food is not that tasty. Everyone is entitled to their options but mine is the macaroni cheese is like super thick it’s weird it doesn’t give you Mac and cheese vibes at all its like a brick of government cheese and pasta the fried chicken had no taste what so ever the candy yams were nutmeg flavored heavy not tasty at all, the rice with gravy I don’t even know who makes rice like that but the food was a total disappointment to my family the fried fish meal we received the fish was either old or fried to damn long would I tell anyone I know to go no, but it’s up to everyone to make their judgements of this place I just know the grocery store on east side sells better food.

I came here for my birthday . Based upon reviews I was excited to try it . I ordered two plates and a cobbler . The total was $70 . I ordered 2 pork chops , mashed potatoes, greens , and Mac and cheese . I did not receive the Mac and cheese , along with the pork chops were extremely salty . I got green beans instead of greens, and was not told about it in advance . Otherwise, I would have chose something different. The second plate also got green beans instead of greens and the meatloaf had a sauce that wasn’t very tasty. I normally don’t leave food reviews but I was just so disappointed, especially because of the price .

Was driving past and my other half noticed the sign saying soul food. She was like we need to try them. I got her some food and she said it was great. She had the rib tips and she said it was fall off the bone good. I’m vegetarian so i couldn’t taste the meat but the sauce was good. We got sweet potatoes, green cabbage mix, and garlic mash potatoes. They were great. For $25, you get this. For my wait the young man gave me a soda. That is hospitality.
