I got orange chicken and shrimp chew mein, the orange chicken literally tasted like I was biting into an orange, and as for the chew mein….. there were like 4 pieces of tiny shrimp, and and a whole lotta cabbage. Where is the chow mein????! After looking at other reviews, this seems to be a reoccurring problem. Everything about their food screams frozen to me. The rolls and chicken especially.

I would give them zero stars if I could. I did online order and when I got there she couldn’t find my order. She then called another customer. She told me it would be ready in a minute. 20 minutes later a guy brought in a bag of food in (yep my food) then proceeded to give it to me. Never told me once this situation or even thought about remaking my order. Once I told her that was absolutely disgusting she said you can wait for me to remake it.

On September 19 around 7pm – I visited Mandarin Wok and ordered the chicken curry. I signed the receipt but accidentally left the tip section blank. The next day, I noticed I was charged $20.27 for what should have been a $16 order.
I called the restaurant, and Sophia kindly answered. She invited me to come in so we could resolve the issue together. When I arrived, she patiently pulled out every receipt from that day and worked with me to find mine. At first, my card number didn’t match any of the receipts she showed, which made the process take longer. Still, she remained patient, understanding, and determined to help.
Eventually, we located my receipt, though it displayed a different card number. Despite the confusion, Sophia contacted their support team, who confirmed that I had been accidentally overcharged. They assured me a refund would be issued within the week and apologized for the mistake. They also promised that if the refund didn’t process, I could come back to receive it directly at the restaurant.
I truly appreciate Sophia’s patience and honesty throughout this experience. It’s rare to find businesses that handle situations like this with such integrity. Because of her excellent service, I highly recommend Mandarin Wok and will definitely be returning!

They messed up our order. Instead of chicken chow mein with soft noodles like they said it would be, they gave me raw chicken and cabbage in water. It was also full of cabbage with very little chicken, so I added some rice and crispy noodles. The food was very flavorless and did not look or smell good. They were very rude on the phone as we explained what happened and kept talking over us. This was our first time here and it was a terrible experience.

I ordered General Tao chicken and pork fried rice. Food is okay at best. I received yellow rice without pork and chicken that tastes like it has sat for a couple hours covered in what tastes like a spicy BBQ sauce. Definitely will not be returning.

I placed an online order from my phone and someone else picked it up so I’m unable to personally rate the customer service or atmosphere. The order was ready when promised and the order online website was very easy to navigate. Also, there is an option for pay upon arrival. You only have to confirm a code sent to your phone number. We decided to add onto the order so I just created a second order with the same name and number. It all worked out with no worries. I didn’t take photos but the food was delicious and fresh. I especially enjoyed the pork egg rolls. Three of us ate and we spent about $10 per person. One of us only ordered rice so that brought the average cost per person down some. I’d say if you ordered a meal and a drink it would be $13 or so. Either way, the main concern is I wasn’t dissatisfied with my dinner. I will order again and look forward to it. Thank you!

I tried several times and several different dishes. All of them were soggy, mushy, and generally not tasty. They are likely using vegies and meats that were frozen and refrozen multiple times, and cooked/rewarmed multiple times as well. The prices are not cheap for what you get. They get plenty of business, because they are the only Chinese place in Atoka/Munford area, but it’s really worth it to drive to Millington or Covington instead.

I have lived in the area about 30 years, so that should let you know how much experience I’ve had with this place. I hate that this place used to be a great once a week or every other week kind of place even though they have always had a terrible attitude (especially the lady). The food was always good and fresh and affordable. The past couple years this place has drastically went downhill. The food quality isn’t even comparable anymore. Food is always mediocre at best. You can always tell the chicken has been precooked and reheated and dipped in whatever sauce they use depending on what kind of chicken you ordered and everything else just seems to be reheated. The worst part about all of this is the prices have skyrocketed. It is very expensive to be a Chinese takeout restaurant. I have tried several different options to lower the price and it always seems to be really high no matter what I do. My wife usually orders a large shrimp fried rice with three times extra shrimp and almost never eats even half of it so it just goes to waste. Our eyeballs are usually bigger than our stomach so we order too much food. Well tonight I decided to order half sizes of the food we normally get without the egg rolls. For two people are food is typically around $45. Well tonight I ordered a small shrimp fried rice with two times extra shrimp, a small sweet and sour chicken no combo just the chicken, and a large general TSO’s, and didn’t get any egg rolls. My jaw dropped when I went to pick the food up and she told me $39 and some change. So I ordered about a third of the food I typically do and our price dropped maybe $4 at the most. I did not pay for that food I turn around and walked out. I will never order from them again because they have obviously gotten greedy. Bad food high prices and a bad attitude makes it very easy to never do business here again!!!! I really hate that one of my favorite local places to eat is no longer even an option

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant! The food is excellent and the staff are very friendly. My youngest child tries something new every time we order and it’s always fun to see his astonishment when he likes something different. This time he tried sweet and sour chicken and loved it!
