Oh man… I just had the best shrimp Pad Thai of my entire life from here today, and I’m not saying that lightly. I’ve eaten a lot of Pad Thai over the years — the good, the “ehhh,” and the ones that taste like someone rinsed spaghetti in ketchup and called it a day. This one? This one was the real deal.
First off, the flavor was straight-up perfect balance… that sweet, salty, savory combo that Pad Thai is supposed to hit — and it didn’t just hit it… it nailed it and kept going. You know how some places lean way too sweet, like you’re eating dessert noodles? Not here. This had sweetness, yeah — but it was that deep, legit tamarind-style sweetness, the kind that feels blended into the sauce, not dumped in with a measuring cup like “good luck, buddy.”
Then the saltiness came through in the best way — not “over-salted,” not “soy sauce bomb,” but that umami salty flavor that makes you keep taking bites even after you swear you’re full. The kind of salty that makes your brain go: Yep. This is the one. Don’t stop.
And the savory part? Dude… it had that rich, cooked-down, wok-kissed flavor where everything tastes like it was actually made by someone who cares — not just tossed together because it was Item #14 on a takeout menu. The sauce clung to the noodles perfectly, not watery, not greasy, not dry. Just that silky, flavorful coating that makes every single bite taste the same level of amazing.
The noodles were cooked right too — not mushy, not stiff, not weirdly stuck together. They had that perfect chew where you can tell they weren’t rushed or overcooked. And the texture overall was money: the crunch, the softness, the chew… everything had a purpose. It wasn’t just noodles and sauce — it was like every ingredient actually showed up to work today.
And listen… the best part? It had that “one more bite” effect. You know what I mean — you’re done, the container is basically empty, and you’re still scraping the corners like a raccoon guarding treasure. That’s how you know it’s elite. That’s how you know it wasn’t just “good”… it was memorably good.
By the time I was finished, I was sitting there thinking:
“Yeah… this is the new standard. Everything else is competing with THIS now.”
So yeah — if you even kinda like Pad Thai, you HAVE to try this. Like, don’t put it on your “one day” list… put it on your “soon as humanly possible” list. Because this wasn’t just a meal — it was a full-on Pad Thai experience, and I’m already mad at myself for not finding it sooner.

WE LOVE MANDARIN COURT!! Highly recommend if you are looking for a good Sushi + Chinese food in South Jersey that you order out or dine in at Mandarin. The food is so good we order takeout at least once a week! The entire staff + owners are INCREDIBLE and so kind + efficient. We’ve been going here for years (generally takeout that we call in) and every experience is a great one! CHEERS =)

I’ve eaten here practically my whole life, and the food always hits the spot. My favorite is the pad Thai, I highly recommend it! I also appreciate that they ask if I want sauce when I order takeout. Small things like this mean so much.

We have made this our go to place for Chinese and sushi. The service is impeccable. The owner and her staff are all very friendly and that helps you feel like family. Portion size is perfect for leftovers the next day.

Love this place. It is a great sit down chinese restaurant. My favorite is that they serve good noodles with sweet and sour sauce. Their wonton Soup is great. Their entrees are delicious. Their dinners are not your typical take out chinese dishes, they are much better!

So disappointed with my takeout order tonight. The Crab Rangoon was over fried. The Chicken Satay consisted of 2 thin slabs of chicken fried on a skewer. The chicken was so dried out and tough it was inedible. The sauce was so salty and had no peanut flavor. I’ve had better from a food truck. The Crispy Calamari salad was inedible. The calamari was like chewing on rubber bands and the crust was under fried and mushy. Again the chefs special sauce was so salty I couldn’t eat the salad. $30 for inedible food. Shame on you! I could forgive one thing being wrong because they were busy but the whole meal was a bust. Not to mention standing in the lobby an additional 20 minutes waiting for my food to be done after I was told it would be 30 minutes. Some people were complaining they were waiting an hour because there order was messed up. Won’t be going back anytime soon.

Used to go to Mandarin Court more when I lived in the area growing up. Try to pop in when I need a quick dinner on the way to the shore. Their wonton soup, fried rice, tuna and salmon maki, chicken broccoli are my staples. Their shops in swedesboro and deptford closed down, so I’m glad this one is still going.

Been going to Mandarin Court, food is excellent, but today I’m sharing an outstanding customer service experience. I when I ordered from grub hub app i thought I hit the the delivery button and that was not the case, so I reached out to the restaurant and they explained to me what I have done wrong. They called to tell me that they are delivering the order for me.. I was so happy, not only they delivered the order but the owner made the delivery . Now this is what taking customer service to the next level is.
